Ok. Probably not. But to think that it cannot happen is absolute stupidity.

No he does not. If he wins 10 games and a decent bowl he will be the
Coach next year.

When we're good enough to beat Alabama, beating Arkansas isn't a problem.

There are so many permutations that work for me.

I want to see incremental improvement from Harris.

I want to beat Bama.

if no playoff, the SEC slot in the Sugar and a win over the non-P5 undefeated Houston/Boise/Western Mich/some of that.

I agree... but fans will come in here and tell you that Les doesnt need to win anything and tell you how much of an ungrateful fan you are and to go root for someone else because Les is the best thing that has happened to LSU... and then they will start talking about the growing pains of the 1990s and how you should be thankful if LSU finishes 9-3. Blah blah blah...

I think the line is at winning the west and/or beating Bama.

I dont think thats too much to ask this year.

That is one of the worst thought out posts I've read in a while. What a rambling pile of crap.

I wonder if that's what Mark Richt thought.

With the expectations from this board and the media he better at least win the west. Most are predicting more.

Les isn't going anywhere unless he goes 8-4 or less. With this talent Les can't even f that up. He wasn't fired because the contract is too much for F King to explain to people that the students don't pay for the buyout, that it comes from the TAF which is private funds and nothing to do with the university. Simple as that. Nothing has changed since then. The issue is the same if he is 9-3 or better.

10-2 and he keeps his job.
9-3 and its iffy, probably gone
8-4 and he gone.

Anything less than 10-2 with this team is underachieving and is a disappointment.

I'm not even sure if 8-4 gets him fired. He'll still have a pretty hefty buyout.

If those losses are blowouts to Alabama and Ole Miss at home and we end up in the Texas bowl I'm not so sure.

Why would you set those criteria now? Let the season play out and evaluate the results, then make a decision.

I stand by what I said - with 18 returning players - with the staff he has put on the field - The small ring of the SEC West is the short goal of this team.

What does 10-2 do for me with no trip to Atlanta ?

I don't want to be Ole Miss and Arky watching year after year as Bama plays for the SEC ring. It is that simple !

No he doesn't, and he shouldn't. He doesn't have to win the west OR beat Alabama. What he needs to do, and should definitely be fired if he doesn't, is start beating the shite teams like Arkansas and Ole Miss the majority of the time. 9-9 versus those two over the past nine years is absolutely inexcusable.

Better that than to be the team that LOSES to Ole Miss and Arky and watches year after year as Alabama plays for the SEC ring.

Baby steps. We at least need to be the 2nd best team in the division before we can hope to be the best.

Arkansas beat LSU the year LSU won the national championship.

your idea of shite teams is delusional.
