Absolutely correct.

By sheer serendipity a not-so-bright man became the highest paid (by a factor of about 30x) public employee in the state of Louisiana. He owes us wins and he owes us explanations.

Wait, why are you, of all people, laughing at the reasonable quote?

Wasn't it you that posted under Lee, we would go 6-6? Thats your definition of reasonable?

That if LSU is ever in that situation again he will pull out all the stops to compete and not quit with conservative playcalling and stubbornness to try something different.

not when i've seen the argument 1000 times. People think they deserve answers...i get it.

My argument is....it doesn't matter what he says. Rantards are still going to bitch and whine and moan and bash. its what they do.

If I was Les Miles I would be out of LSU as fast as possible. The man just went undefeated in the regular season and won the sec title while playing one of the hardest schedules ever in college football android think he needs to answer your questions. You people make me sick. Les Miles owes us a clean a winning program. Which he has given us. Yes I'm pissed that the team played its worst game at the worst time but it doesn't change the fact that he is the winningest coach IN LSU HISTORY as you Johnny know nothing fans think he owes YOU something. Fans like you and all posters shitting on the coach that has helped to usher in the winningest time in LSU HISTORY don't deserve a winning program. This is why I lurked for 4 years before signing up. Les isn't above reproach but he is a top5-10 coach and should be treated as such

Les Miles quit.Simple as that. He is now sowing what he reaped. And LSU is paying for it in a big way.

We lost a freakin game to a really good team. Geez. Some of you people are retarded.

I wouldn't call it quitting i would call it he was doing what he did all year while we were in trouble run the ball and play def... b/c he had no confedence in qb's either of them. But i would think its a givin he doens't want to lose and will work hard to fix the problem.. i think his record proves he knows how to win and will get this chance again...

1. I've noticed that nearly all of the people who make this "Miles doesn't owe you anything" part of their theme in life are the same people who have wanted Jordan Jefferson to play quarterback the entire season and not given Jarrett Lee any credit.

That certainly doesn't apply to me because I have been a huge supporter of Jarrett Lee. However, the TEAM is more than one person.

quote:

2. These are "Les Miles' players," but this is not Les Miles team. This team is the State of Louisiana's team and just because your "boi" happens to be participating in this program for 3 years doesn't mean this team doesn't belong to the state of Louisiana.

Which just so happens to be completely independent in funding, in other words...without any state tax dollars.

quote:

3. This team would not exist without the fans, and the VAST MAJORITY of FANS are PISSED. So allow me to bring some truth to your demented brains:

No, just rantards like you are pissed.

quote:

a.The fanbase is the people that are, for the most part, reasonable - and who want to know why things happened the way they did.

quote:

4. The tolerance of many boosters is grown short, as it should, and you can expect Miles to get a quick treatment on who has the money.

I bet they sure are sick of 13-1 seasons, SEC Championships, and National Championship game appearances.

quote:

5. Without optimism going into next season, those ticket prices aren't going higher and those stupid fee's they keep tacking on are becomming even less tolerable

So quit being being a negative, complaining schmuck and start talking about next year instead of this year.

If only people held their elected officials, you know, the people that REALLY affect your life and well being, to as much scrutiny as a football coach.

For the $$$ he has paid, Miles owes us wins (81.5% - Highest Winning % of any LSU coach in over 100 years) and championships (2 SEC and 1 NC - Tied for Most All-Time in School History).

The last game was terrible, but he is delivering what is expected of him.

I don't know why every has to have a side. I dont care who plays provided we win. We lost, badly. It's been a really shitty two weeks in things spanning the entire life cycle of a college football program: recruiting, game performance, changes in staff, losing players early, etc.

It's time to move forward.

You don't run 8 times in the 4th qtr, when you need 15 points just to tie

I wouldn't call it quitting. I'd call it a limited ability to recognize and adjust.
