Rummey ain't getting banned old man.
Oh, no doubt but others have been banned for starting a new thread to reply to another one and it is supposed to be against the rules.
That said, he is STILL WRONG.
Miles Contract is through 2014 and it would cost $15M to buy out after this season.
Welcome back coach!

Wouldn't this be a perfect question for next wednesday night?

It's only fitting the most confusing coach in the country has the most confusing contract to decipher as well.
The guys at the AJC can tell you how much Richt is owed to the penny:
$5 million

Clearly no one on this board knows for sure and clearly Miles could lose every game the rest of this year and not be fired.

Ammendment not required.
The contract clearly states that the contract 'presumptively' extends for one year if the team reaches a minimum of 8 wins.
There is no ‘action’ required for the extension; on the contrary it would require an action or amendment for the extension NOT to be honored.
It is what it is and the Man AINT going no where, haters are just gonna have to DEAL WITH IT!

No, it's not.
His contract was not rolled over in 2008 and 2009.
The $15 million buyout was addressed in the March amendment, which actually upped it to $18.75 million and in the WAFB article that states how it goes down every year.
So I have no idea why you're sticking with the $15 million.

Read the other thread, there is a link to the actual contract and a legal explination by Waco Tiger whoo breaks it down fairly well.
What it boils down to is (for the 50th time) 2014/$15M
Have a GREAT DAY!!
Geaux Tigers!!

only miles and people in the ath dept know for sure when his contract ends, but i have to agree with you. imo the contract ends in 2012 either way, if he were to get fired at the end of this season the amount due would not be paid in full. both sides would agree to x amount and part ways. also it does infact state he must find another job in order to be paid. once he finds a job LSU pays him the difference in what he is owed vs what he makes at this new job. some will say he won't find another job but that's wrong. with his recruiting ability and the fact that he has a nc on his resume, he won't be without a job for long. a perfect example is ron zook, who makes $1.5 million per year. LSU would come out ok if les were to get fired imo.

Or because I can add!
3.75M x 4 = $15M
And again PLEASE go back and READ the actual language that was discussed at length in the other tread THE CONTRACT DID NOT HAVE TO BE ROLLED, it was legally 'presumptive' which means AUTOMATIC!!!
For him NOT to get the extension there would have had to have been a reason and it WOULD HAVE REQUIRED action, not the other way around.
They took no action to revoke the AUTOMATIC extension so despite the fact that you don't think he deserved a 'roll' or don't see an amendment for said 'roll' it WAS NOT REQUIRED!!!

I'm not convinced Miles knows.

Gotcha - I still think it's all a moot point. He's here through 2011 unless there's a full-blown implosion.
Posted on 10/8/10 at 9:34 pm to Cash
he has the want for it to be rolled over every year.

That's about right for the rant.
Make up all the wild eye'd get rid of the coach crap you want but if someone dare defend him with fact then just ban them.
