thank GOD we are not florida, Tennessee, Arkansas, etc. we have a good coach who is by no means perfect. wouldn't want to trade him for anyone. let's be thankful our situation is stable hopefully for years to come.
i'm definitely in!!!

quote:Agreed, but I want him and LSU to take Iowa seriously and spank them on New Year's Day, partly as paybacks for that last time we played those Hawks and they beat us so inconveniently. And partly to remind me and the rest of us that quirky or not CLM really is a damn strong coach and all-around great LSU guy, through and through.
If he wins 10 games this year after all the talent we lost on defense and bringing in Cam Cameron, I consider it a good year.

well said....warts and all, Les is the man. your assessment of continuity and sustained success makes tons more sense than anything the nega's and haters can muster. until somebody show's me a dead solid lock alternative he will remain my choice as hc. the man has it all...he ain't perfect, but the man has it all.

Love me some Miles.
I think one of my favorite parts of the press conference video is the Chancellor at the end when asked if he had anything to say just replying "what he said"
I also think he is a great man and his players mostly become great men. He is Bo part 2 in many ways and there is NOTHING wrong with that.

Yes, I have to agree, as long as we keep winning 10 games and get invites to the Chic-A-Fila and Outback Bowl each year all is well in BR and with Les as the Man!! People in Oklahoma are still happy with Stoops!

Your generalization is not consistent with his record.

I was considering starting a "LES DESERVES A RAISE" thread as a way of appreciating that we are not in the middle of these annual shite-storms that Saban and other coaches seems to enjoy so much.

Florida still aint back
Tennessee still aint back
Michigan still aint back
Ohio State still aint back (no matter how many wins Meyer puts on that poor excuse for a conference)
Florida State just got back and after Winston leaves, they'll be gone again. Winston is like a Cam Newton, Johnny Manziel (Manziel with a defense would have one loss), type of talent. Elevate the program 1-2 years, and it comes crashing down once they leave.
I've said this before but if Saban leaves to Texas, The Dynasty, The Kingdom, The Empire will become L. S. U.

That nerd is such a narcissistic little child that he can't even let the rest of the world FOR ONE DAY enjoy something that doesn't interest him, and he tries so hard to be funny with his blasé "sports? Yay" tweet.
Just like you and people like you. You can't fricking stand that we love our coach, who is the most successful LSU coach of all time, and who is in the midst of one of the top 25 coach/school tenures in the history of the sport, and you gave it everything you had to try to say something funny to make fun of the rest of us, and you failed so fricking hard, and I feel so damn sorry for you.
Geaux Tigers!

I would not trade him for any other coach out there.

The odds of getting a coach that makes your program successful, and hiring a coach immediately after that continues that level of success are slim to none.
Couldn't agree more. People forget that you let him go then you end up with a junk coach and then there is serious buyer's remorse.

Thank you elprez00! I couldn't agree with you more ! Glad to know we have some Tiger fans with a brain!
