Lucky you. Can those people tell you the last time a highly successful coach winning at an ungodly rate in the last four years, with a NC two years before, and being one of a handful of coaches in the 5 million a year club changed schools from one year to the next?
I think never, but since you know people the answer should be easy for you.
BTW, where is Jimbo coaching this year?
I wonder where these big money boosters who are going to throw 25-40 million at LSU were when we had to go to the fricking Sunbelt to get our last basketball coach.

"So I was speaking with one of our corporate lawyers today and he had an interesting story regarding the botched Les Miles situation. "

I drew up a contract to frick Cindy Crawford but that doesn't mean it was happening

I don't know about you, but I would suggest maybe letting our most successful coach in program history, with a NC, build for yet another NC run
Since being nearly fired, Miles has "want" back in his arse.
He has been doing a lot of things right...
we shall see...
he gets paid over 4 million a year....I like the guy a ton, but he needs to beat Alabama this year or it's over..
It's that big of a deal

So this was Jindal's fault??

Why do some people find it hard to believe Miles was on his way out after 3 really bad loses in a row? This is LSU football people!!! Where are your expectations?
Yes Miles has been very successful and is well liked as a man, but many LSU fans, want to win big every now and then. How about winning a New years day bowl?
All fans do right? Well, LSU is LSU...and to stay LSU, we have to make changes to stay elite ...with or without Coach Miles
I guess some people do not understand the reality of Nick Saban kicking our tail 5 straight times, 2 of which were an embarrassing loss 21-0 losing effort for all the marbles and last year losing the Heisman with a stubborn offense!
Losing to Ole Miss at home badly, not good.
Losing to R Kansas at home again, now 2 straight badly (a 4th place team in our division) and going back to their place this year, NOT GOOD!
I love my tigers, I love Miles, but he needs to win bigger than he has the last 5 seasons, and he needs a damn passing offense that isn't mistaken for ESPN comedy hour...I am going to come unglued if people want to argue about this...
Miles was going to be fired because the people who really invest in the program are proud and care about winning. Call it a sad reality of American materialism but he was out if NOT for the sad reality of our broken LA politics!!!
If Miles lets the tigers get embarrassed this year in Tiger Stadium he will not be back...it's really that simple
he begged to coach "1 more year"...because this team should be really strong and he built it up with loads of talent...and he felt he earned the chance
No excuses this year...we are not young...JR QB...a really good staff....I mean we should be very good, right?.
Lose to Alabama at home? Well, "it was nice knowing you Les"
Even Spurrier said, "after 10 years, everyone begins to get tired of each other, it's often time to move on"
This is the 11th season...no one gets tired of winning, and almost all fans get tired of losing to rivals

We have a damn fine coach. I'm glad we messed up the coup and kept him.

Les Miles / Jimbo Fisher Story by Keltic TigerLaughing at all the love, still, for Jimbo. Short memories here on two fronts. One, he was almost literally run out of town as LSU's OC back when. He was detested by almost everyone. Two, remember all the names he was called when he let J.Winston slide only a few yrs ago? And all the other crap he let slide, too?
Yeah, Jimbo would fit perfectly in BR olitically . Who knows, he might have run for mayor, or even governor. Remember Jeremy Hill ? Honey Badger's 7 failed drug tests? even Cecil Collins.

And the people who hear what the people who know people who know people run to the Rant so they can tell more people who know people.

It might not be secret but it also might not be true. I'm guessing that it is true only if it reinforces your own far fetched theory.

Outside of bama every single sec program has these losses.
Even Bama loses to an inferior team every year. Stop acting like this is just a lsu problem.
Fsu lost 3 games while playing in a the shite acc where you have 1 other program worth a shite ( Clemson).

It's not the losses. It's the way we lost. We lost 3 games in a row and were soundly beaten like we were Vandy. That should never happen to a team with as much talent as LSU. That's bad coaching.

It appears the die-hards on Jimbo coming to LSU don't know how Sexton works these types of deals.
X coach will appear and talk with x college and talk I want to come and I will come, to use the offer made to go to the school the coach is at to gain better money, been pulled to many times, the game is getting very old.
Many do no know injuries play a major factor in college football and losing what we did last year on offense effected our play calling.
I have seen strong LSU teams get hit so bad at one position that we had to played players from the other side of the ball to finish the season.
LSU should have finished 10-3 last year only the called off game caused us not too, and that game should have been made up.

Saban loses to a team with far less talent every year.
2015 ole miss was talented as hell. Stop acting like we lost to 2011 ole miss. I agree we shouldnt be pushed around by arky but arky has played bama close these last 2 years and beat ole miss in 2015.
Posted on 8/14/16 at 8:10 pm to Rickdaddy4188
going into last season our weak spot was D-line and Ark, Bama and Ole Miss when they got Tunsil back offensive lines were equal to if not better than our d-line.

Say what you want about any other team and what they do. The fact is that LSU has just as much talent if not more than any team in this country. We shouldn't be getting our asses handed to us like we have been. The last two years we've gotten beaten soundly 6 times.
Mississippi State
Auburn
Arkansas
Alabama
Ole Miss
Arkansas
These games weren't even close. There is absolutely NO WAY we should have a 34-0 point spread to Arkansas the last 2 years. That's pathetic and completely unacceptable for a team that has as much talent than anyone every single year. I don't care what anyone says.
Posted on 8/14/16 at 8:38 pm to RonBurgundy
How about a nice balance between the two? Otherwise known as keeping the defense guessing. And just as an after thought, how well did our running backs do against Bama last year?
Posted on 8/14/16 at 8:56 pm to Tom Bronco
Tom we are down 2 starting te, 2 fb, and 2 of our key starting oline are playing hurt if I remember correct and guess what we can not run due to Bama playing 2 ng's; ie adding another d lineman.

This just isnt true.
These are the last 4 recruiting classes. As you can see the gap between lsu and ole miss is smaller than the gap between lsu and bama.
Bama's 2016 draft class alone is almost bigger than LSU's draft class for 2015 & 2016 combined.
There are multiple sec programs that recruit just as well as lsu.

Again, outside of bama every single sec program have these kind of losses.
Auburn, Ole Miss, Arky, Florida, and Georgia all have embarrassing losses. Stop acting like thats just a lsu problem.
From 2009-2013 only 4 programs were able to win 9 games every year and lsu was one of them. Every program except Bama has down years. Our down years are 9-4 and 8-5 years while other sec programs ' down years are .500 or below records.

I think this is the problem
We need to make Bama have a bad year
Ya feel me?
with that said, we went undefeated, beat Alabama at home and they still got to play us again in MNC...
40 years ago, LSU would have been crowned the national champion before the bowl game...
