I'm not asking for much

Just a few first downs moving the chains every now and then to give the defense some rest.

Lsu has to be the most penalized, undisciplined team in the top 10

Is he smarter than saban? Saban believes in all that AND also having the ability to complete the forward pass.

Meh miles just doesn't have the "want"
to be a complete team.

He pulled the trigger many times yesterday. Met overthrew the WRs. The players have to execute too. That is part of the equation

Keep in mind, that there was a strong wind in the stadium, hence the missed field goals by both teams..I think that made a difference too...at least for Mett...

I agree, it'd just be nice to see a dominant, efficient quarterback again.

Sorry, but Miles philosophy doesn't call for constant 3 and outs.

Miles is playing old man football... smashmouth football. Which is perfectly fine. It is the best style of football to win games, in my opinion.

The problem is that there is a lack of execution on offense.

The STYLE of play isn't the problem. It is the execution and lack of discipline of LSU's team. Too many penalties and a lack of execution.

If what you say is true, why doesn't he beat us every time?

Because we have played him with superior team's and talent while Alabama was still terrible and rebuilding and because LSU is still very good. If the status quo for both teams remains going forward, I fear that we will lose more than we will win.

Give me a team Bama has played this year that has a very solid defense?

I'm not going to take any thing from bama. McCarron is a lot further along than Met at this point. Also their WR Cooper is the real deal. He will play on Sundays. Additionally, bama's OL is further along than ours at this point (given injuries).

Would be a valid point if LSU was able to score routinely against some of the terrible D's we play, like Texas A&Ms or Auburns.

Couldnt have said it better. No team should be letting up 60-70 points. That is disgraceful. Ill take our style over anyone in the country. I think this team can beat anybody, id see where playoffs would only benefit teams like bama and lsu. Cus d wins. And defense is easier to perfect than offense. If ur wvu and your O doesnt show up, you get beat down.

All goes back to coaching

The style is an effective style. Bama does it.

Just needs to execute and be more disciplined.

The play designs are just so unimaginative....and we never seem to use dump offs to our TEs, RBs, etc.

We actually ran a couple successful screen plays against S.C., but for some reason those are off limits 9 out of 10 weeks

Many of you are scared. I understand. Doc, you are the biggest expert who has never done anything with life except criticize. Congrats on that.

Is our offense good? Half of it is great, the other half, meh. Seems like it's been that way for a while and somehow, "miraculously", Les is 2-2 against Nick Saban. When he wins in 2 weeks he'll be 3-2. And you babies will still cry cause momma didn't warm the milk up fast enough. Boo-tiddly-whoo. Go buy a hoodie or a hat with a crimson A on it if that's what you want. Adios.

Yes he lost the big one in grand fashion, but he also went 13-0 and won the SECC. Who else has ever done that for LSU?

Is Les the best coach in the history of college football? No. But he's ours and like it or not, he's a winner and he's still a hell of a lot smarter than you...

Good point. I forgot about the wind. That does affect the ball.

I remember a windy day in Giants stadium a few years back...Brees' passing game was pretty off that day which is unusual.

So just so I understand the post, Les is smart for continually employing a terrible offense to go with our great defense? And adding an adequate offense to our great defense would result in more losses?

Execution of the existing offense is what is needed, not adding a new one.

I appreciate your support and optimism. But what we have is a program that will fall short must years- lose 1-2 games-
We are NOT fundamentally sound- if we were the penalties and poor execution would not be there consistently.

Saban and now Muschamp understand the importance.
If we do not correct the fundamental issue of poor fundamentals we will begin to lose the recruiting wars.

I for one like all the W's but I want to beat bama and the gators on a somewhat consistent basis- as they will beat us if we do not change.

People that do not like Les Miles will not give him credit for ANY good thing he ever does here. You will be better off accepting this now and not trying to explain this to these idiots. So what if Les Miles is 3-3 against Saban. Yes I realize he lost the champ game last year and that was the biggest game we had ever played against them. But you know what, 1 year ago he won the biggest game against Saban (at his house) to that point which was for the national championship in a normal college football season. Unfortunately he was not able to beat that great team twice, and the last one is what everyone remembers. I've heard this story a million times now that Miles has no chance against Saban but yet 50% of the time the naysayers are wrong. I'll take success 50% of the time over the "established" best coach in football.
