Les in 2016: the 2016 schedule

Legit opponents for LSU in 2016 = 10
- Wisky, Moo St, Barn, Mizzou, Gators, Black Bears, Gumps, Piggies, Aggies, Bowl ( a pretty stout schedule)
Kinda legit, but not really = 1
- S Miss
Cupcake = 2
Jack St, S Alabama
Note: Hotlanta => would be great
So, lets give the 2 + 1 for 3 wins
That means Les, with a strong returning roster, and a good recruiting class, needs to win 6 of the remaining 10 games to get 9 wins. Judging from this year, 9 wins would retain Miles for the same reasons he is staying now. Expectations level, History and Politics.
Going 6 out of 10 in the "real games", while winning the 3 we definitely should, will likely save his job beyond 2016. Or, making it to Hotlanta for sure means he is a keeper beyond '16
Going .600 in the "real games" is doable, but also could prove tough unless real changes are made on offense.
I think he pulls it off, but the 6th of these is tricky. If the 6th is a non big-6 bowl win, that means he will have only gone 5 out of 9 in the pre-bowl "real games", with an 8-4 regular season record, and we could have another F'King Alexander fiasco.
Buckle up.

If he is going to be fired, it will be done before the bowl game. Otherwise, we are complete morons and starting our search in January.

At that point, with ole miss the following week and the bye after that, there is a real chance we lose to a much improved (not to mention well coached) eagles team.
I think even the pumpers and women who love miles may change their tune if we are 3-4 coming off a home loss to southern miss.
