So we shouldn't question him and hold him in check? Sounds more like a dictatorship to me

Or should they just shut the frick up about his debacle because other people want their tickets anyway?

And we have a winner! I dont think anyone has a gun to their head when they write the check for season tickets... if you dont like what Miles is doing go root for Southern or ULL... better yet storm the Athletic office and demand an explanation for Miles actions... Move the frick on people, it's over...

I'm sick and tired of hearing that Les doesn't owe us anything. Its his job to set expectations to ALL his customers (yes the fans are his customer, else he needs to stop doing interviews and speaking to the public)... and he failed!

That's such stupid logic

You're right, no one is forcing anyone to give money. But LSU football is not like fricking CVS. If you don't like the product at CVS, go to wal greens, but this isn't the same.

The emotional investment is so deep, treating it strictly like a business is just stupid.

Nah,gotta go and loot Ann Taylor and Tiffany's, cause my team lost.
Then I'm going to the local Lexus dealership, and smash a few windows.
On 2nd thought I'll occupy Death Valley if I can have a skybox, with an open bar, and indoor plumbing.

No, I'm not mad-if I were, l would be in an asylum. I'm not even angry(my mother was an English teacher).

But I am bewildered. But then I'm bewildered when I'm trying to find my car at Wal Mart.

Les Miles delivered one of the best seasons in LSU history. He won 13 games, the SEC Championship and competed (loosly defined here) in the BCS Championship. He got out-coached by one of the best ever after previously beating that team twice. We beat the BCS Champs, Rose Bowl Champs and 11 others. He coached this team to a terriffic season as a whole. The final game was an utter disappointment; you will get no arguement from me or any other Tiger most likely.
But to think that Les owes any of us an explanation for his decisions is unreal. Where in his job description does it say he has to explain every decision he makes to the fan base? Maybe he should talk to Lee, maybe he has.
An explanation of what happened will not make anything better. We still lost in an embarassing fashion, that cannot be changed

If even the President of the United States has to face questions, tell me again why a coach does not.

You people are crazy!

Les is one of the best college coaches period. This was a rough loss for everyone. However, I bet anyone in here would have taken a 13-1 season any day of the week.

Exactly, LSU football fans held their season tickets through the Hallman and Dinardo eras. Does that mean they liked the product that those head coaches produced? Sure Miles can't be compared to those guys, but to say that he should be given a pass on answering real questions about Monday's disaster, or find another team is beyond stupid.

Again smartass its not because he lost it how and why. If a doctor performs major surgery and does well 13 times does that give him a pass when he kills the 14th? Said doctor didn't kill the patient and tried his best, he didn't prepare for surgery and decided not to try to stop the hemorrhaging mid surgery. If a doctor or any other professional does this they go to fricking jail. So yes I think les should take a pay cut

So playing football and losing is equivelant to killing someone in surgery now? Come on man

Yes- he sure as shite does. Les owes the ticket holders a well-coached football team that is prepared and ready to play football on the biggest game of the year. Les owes the team a good game plan where if something is obviously not working to go to Plan B. Les took the game away from the players Monday night with stubborness or idiocy, not sure which. He now owes us an explanation.

+1

Individually, he does not
Collectively, he does.

While some people may want to take communion from Miles, he is an employee of the University and we are the customers of the University.

All employees are accountable.
If they do not perform for the University, the customers will stop supporting the University.
..so yes their is accountability.

not to mention that the losing team earns less than the winning team -
it also affects recruiting and future teams.

here is the money breakdown..
which will make anyone question the payouts, nevertheless, here it is:
LINK

BTW:
a $ 4MM a year coach has more accountability than a $ 40,000 a year coach.
Different expectations, both have to be accountable.
Only an idiot would pay an employee $4MM a year and not hold them accountable.

You are all kidding yourselves if you think you would feel much better if we had lost by 7 or 14 or any other number. The end result is the same
I'm calling complete and utter bullshite to this post.

Of course we would have been disappointed that we didn't win, but the complete and total vitriol, lack of understanding, and bewilderment that the fanbase is currently exhibiting, would not have been there.

Then I don't owe him anything either, including my complete and total loyalty to the University. It works both ways. He has an unwritten contract with the fans. If you can't understand this, you're the stupidest fan that ever lived.

Agreed - he owes the Team and clear and precise explanation of the choice he made against, against JL

I do not know what would have happened with JL playing, neither do you, and most of all neither does the Team - this will never leave them, if you have played you know this is true

Wrong.. Miles compensation comes from self-generated revenue of the LSU Athletic Department or the Tiger Athletic Foundation and doesn't come from tuition dollars or state funding for the university. He doesn't owe shite..plain and simple...move on

And where do you think that money comes from. It comes from the customers. I would hate to know that you owned a business and said to hell with my customers. You would not have that business very long.

There.

You don't OWE him that. You are a loyal to the University, correct? If Les left to go somewhere else you wouldn't follow him and become a big Michigan fan would you? He might owe the team and Alleva an explanation. But you sir he does not
