Les Better Get a Grip on Harris

On one hand I actually feel for Harris. I personally feel he was never given a realistic chance at succeeding. The reason I say this is that Harris is a true dual threat QB not a great passer but the combination of his running ability and his passing is what made him extremely successful in high school. At LSU they have tried to make him a pure pocket passer and to compete in the strongest conference and strongest division in the country. This was going to be a disaster no matter what anyone thought just like it was for JJ and Jennings before him. But on the other hand it was his fault in a way because ANY QB coming to LSU thinking he is going to be anything but a pocket passer just really hasn't watched Miles for the past 11years. So I do feel for him because I feel it was set up for failure.

All that being said though for him to do what he did with everything that LSU has done for him and the way the coaches have had his back, to stab us like that frick HIM. If he doesn't see the light of day on the depth chart going forward then it is fitting for his actions. The fact is Harris you have literally stunk it up over the past 7 games for LSU and your benching was WAY OVERDUE!!! Your passing is so bad that on a simple 7 yard out route you sailed it 5 yards over the receivers head with basically zero coverage on him and no QB pressure. It was such a bad pass you literally could say I was just trying to throw the ball out of bounds and it would have looked like that is EXACTLY what you were trying to do!!!!

Harris I will try and give you some help here, JSU WILL BE IN NEED OF A QB NEXT YEAR. Enjoy being a Gamecock!!!

Give Etling a break - hasn't played in a game for well over a year. He did get J'ville State's attention though and that surely opened up the running game.I feel for Harris though, can't imagine how it feels to be taken out. I'm sure that he feels the world is upon his shoulders.

No the slap in the face is Miles ruining Harris by forcing him to run that antiquated offense. He never utilized Harris correctly and lied to him and all the LSU fans by saying he would change the offense, so why would Harris respect him???

I sort of agree with that. We ran an offense with Harris and Jennings that doomed them to failure then blame them when they fail. WE were supposed to open up the offense and run 3 and 4 wr sets from the shotgun with passes to the TE's and RB's and giving the green light for Harris to run with some designed runs for him while also utilizing Fournette from the shotgun as well, in other words play to his and pretty much any QB's strengths. Instead we run the same antiquated QB killer offense we been running.

This is my biggest problem with Les. Les runs an Offense that is designed for a pocket passer, but he recruits 4 and 5 star dual threat QB's.

I don't question that the pocket passer is better suited to the offense lsu wants to run... That said a kid that goes Twitter quitter a few days after getting passed on the depth chart instead of fighting for that spot and buying into the best of the team may not be him this week is weak and a detriment to the team. Any college athlete that's been there and played the part the right way knows that and while not always accepting, acknowledges it's part of being a team player. Lost a lot of respect for Harris when he took it out of the locker room

Nothing justifies Harris putting himself over the team & program. What he wrote and him following other coaches on Twitter was bush league no matter how you slice it. I can't believe anyone would give him a free pass on this. It was poor judgement and it did nothing but achieve negativity towards LSU. I'm just not buying this - woe is me...I signed with a school that doesn't scheme to my strengths...I got benched...what the FRICK ever. It was a selfish reaction and it was wrong to do.

Bottom line, I'm sick of this toxic, undisciplined, drama-filled atmosphere that Miles has spawned.

the team is not this way at all. those guys are the only sane people in this entire soap opera. you are actually describing the rant.

you sure are coming down hard on a player when it isn't proven what he meant to say. it's assumptive guilt. while you are not alone, you are a contributor to this toxic, drama filled atmosphere that you claim to abhor.

Holy shite, I just checked the rest of your posting history. You might be my favorite poster. You remind me of drunk Charlie from the Wade Boggs episode of Always Sunny.

I agree. He could really benefit from a call from Jarrett Lee about now.

Brandon has a ton of talent and an ounce of confidence.

I have no problem with the tweet in its order and context. If people would read it instead of just assuming, I bet many of y'all bashing him would agree. Or around here, maybe not.

And I know for a fact he was following urban Meyer and his malzahn when he committed here in 2014.

I know y'all are sick of his perflrmance, but let's objective about him personally.
