I have been upset at LM all season for his unwaivering committment and praise for JJ.

But, we have seen that neither of the QBs have what it takes. Some on here love JJ and some love JL, but the truth is they have both had their shot and neither of them are the answer.

What is LM to say? Is he to come out and say guys we are making the best of a bad situation and playing these games without a good QB?

I am hoping that we get ZM in here and he succeeds the way Cam did at Auburn.

You'll have to wait until 2012 to see Mett if he decides to play here. I don't see Miles benching the senior qb whose started the majority of the games the last 2 seasons in favor of a Juco.

I don't either and don't understand why anyone who has been watching LSU for the last few years would think otherwise.

BS - complete and utter BS.

JJ had a full and complete and sustained opportunity. JLee had intermittent "chances" and Les fell "Miles" short of giving Lee a fair shot to "compete".

Miles had his mind made up, for whatever reason, long before we started the season, that we would live or die with JJ. If not for Lee's heroics in Tenn and Florida, we would have lost 4 SEC games this year and be sitting at 8-4 right now. That is giving JJ credit for all of the 8 wins.

Miles is as biased as they come. He should go ahead and adopt JJ and make it official.

This is NOT about hindsight and who "gave us the best chance to win", this is about his forshadowing intent to give JJ a full and complete chance and NEVER to really give Lee a chance. Period.

Miles is responsible for everything and ultimately it is his call, but we've heard all year that Miles has his hands in the offense, Crowton doesn't have full control, etc, etc. When Jefferson is in the game, does it look like a "Miles offense" or a "Crowton offense"?

I agree. It was apparent to anybody who watched LSU in 08 that Lee is a streaky player and he's never going to get in to any rhythm playing a series or two here and there. I would have loved to have seen what he could have done starting a couple of games in a row. We had a running game and a defense that we didn't have in 08, so there was no need to put everything on his shoulders.

Anyone who still thinks JL is the answer needs there head examined. JJ is far from great, but he is simply more accurate than JL. Add that JJ can scramble and JL cannot, it isn't even a close comparison IMO.

So why did we have to get jl to bail jj out against Florida and tenn?
Jl iced the game against bama

I'm sure he did more than above but I can't recall off the top of my head.

If jj is so great why did we use jl to Winn games at the end.

I know. We saw what jj can do with the game on the line.

This.

I will go as far as to say, JJ is definitely the better choice, too bad we didn't use his legs yesterday. But with Crowton at the helm, it all looks so freaky, hard to really assess

All of the JL lovers all think that JJ has done a Jedi mind trick on CLM. JL's previous preformances has soured CLM's opinion of him.

CLM is not a fool (despite what the NegaTigers think) and if ZM gives us the best chance to win, He will start. Juco's can enroll imediately so ZM will have spring ball to show his stuff. If we get him, go to the Spring Game and judge for yourself.

Don't forget JL threw a pick 6 in the spring game.

I have to agree with this. Lee did make mistakes when he got in (intentional grounding, pass before the LOS, and delay of game), but those seemed to be mistakes caused by a lack of playing time in a REAL game. I admire the kid for staying. He could have transferred, and he could have had a better chance for success soemwhere else.

A fair comparison to me would have been to give him a game and at least a half. He needs a rhythym and some successes to be on target. I really think he is a better QB than he gets credit for, and I thought he was an unmitigated disaster in his first year of play.

I am a fan of this kid.

I don't disagree that JL made some major contributions this year. I also don't disagree that Les has totally mismanaged the QB situation this year. I think both QBs have been hurt by the rotation. JJ regressed this year in the rotation.

Believe me, I'm not a huge JJ believer. In breaking down the two, I just feel like JJ gives us the best chance. I apprecaite JL hanging around, but I just feel like he is not the answer. Having a qb who continually throws off his back foot and is scared to get hit is a major liability. Almost every possesion he has come in lately has been a waste (3 and out).

Only if you assume GC is gone would you assume Mett would have a legit shot.
