Yards per carry:

Henry - 5.85
Fournette - 6.42

Yards per game:

Henry - 152.76
Fournette - 158.27

Henry has played two full games more than Fournette, yet only has 245 more total yards. And Fournette went up against the 'Bama front 7...Henry didn't, yet Fournette still has a higher YPG and YPC.

The Heisman is nothing more than a PR ceremony.

He will have a chip but he needs better calls, BH, and no more injuries to his FB/TE/O line.

There are only 2 reasons Fournette did not win the Heisman this year. The Mcneese St. game was cancelled, and Bama's run defense is just too good. I know Chubb ran on them, but most of that was on one run, other than that he was shut down. If Henry had to play against Bama's D he would have been shut down as well. Having three loses would not exclude Fournette from the Heisman if not for Mcneese and Bama. Even if LSU were undefeated, Fournette is 3rd in rushing yards. And since this is usually a QB award having 2 RB's in NY already kind of makes it pointless to have a third. All that being said, I still think he should have gotten an invite. Also I hope McCaffrey wins.

The bigger issue is that on a team with 8 fullbacks, only one of them was competent. Mouton might be the worst we've had here since the mid-90s.

Mouton was a true freshman and got better and better as the season progressed and had been adequate the last few weeks. And it's not like he's the starter. He's a true freshman backup FB that was forced to play due to injury. And like I said, he's improved a lot as the season went on and is not a bad player by any means. The coaches obviously think he was the best player to fill in for Moore once he went out, ahead of tRants favorite player David Ducre and others.

The bigger issue is that our offense is heavily dependent on the play of the fullback, a position that is rarely used by majority of teams and is becoming extinct. You don't need a fullback to successfully run the ball, you can run it just fine without 1. But we choose to depend on the fullback in our offense.

If you want to get invited to NY you have to perform well against the best and thanks to his offensive line he did not. It's a shame but that's how it is.

Leonard had a great season but he doesn't deserve to be there. He disappeared during the three game losing streak. Yall can blame whomever you want but he didn't perform

The kid does the noble thing and stays in state and his reward will be...nothing.

Should have gone to bama if he wanted to win anything.

He did not grade better each week. That is unequivocally false.

Better and better, huh?

We are all ignorant but some of us watched the games

The staff certainly didn't do him any favors with their piss poor game plan vs Bama. The OL and staff lost this one for Leonard.

Based on what? The same major obstacles are in the way!!!! And they just so happen to be on our sidelines and in the booth calling plays.

He had 91 on 18 carries against Arkansas with the O-line whiffing on 75% of their blocks. I wouldn't say that's falling off the map. The "only" bad game he had was the Alabama game. Period.
He had 108 against OM and about 70 receiving.

I wasn't placing the blame on Fournette

Shitty coaching lost him the award. Totally not his fault it was the simplicity of the play calling. Run, run, pass smh. Sad to.see a kid work so hard to lose it because of coaching.

LF would have absolutely been the feature back at Bama this year, he is a better back than Henry.
