It's working. Thanks for this thread on the Rant. It's reaching people in ways never thought of before. Just think, before people were breaking shite and rioting. All that had to happen was the players taking a knee? Wish they thought of it sooner.

I have not heard a single poster anywhere on this site claim the white protestors in Charleston were right.
They had a right to protest. They did so correctly by law. Most of those there are the slumbags of society that everyone casts out. Some there that did protest were fired from their jobs as well.
These guys are rich douchbags that are achieving nothing while they are paid to entertain the masses. Nobody gives a shite about their opinions but don't show you arse by shitting on the country that makes you rich.

It's not about if I have "pride" in this country or not. But I can understand why some would have less than others as some have been treated a little less respectfully in this country that others.

Damn it AshLSU, you don understand what this country is all about, to some of us defending this country for people like you is more important than making money.
Sure there are bad people and screw ups in the military but they don't last long because in the military a screwup can and will cost a live unlike in civilian life.

How dare he take an knee and not break something instead to get the message across. The hate in this thread is the very reason that his bravery to kneel is justified. Does the anthem make me proud to live in America? Yes. But if it all it takes to get a message out is to kneel while the song is playing? So be it. Instead calling them out their names, convince one of your racist friends to love every American, even minorities. That would make America great.

I'm saying that that when young adults who make millions of dollars to play a game and have barely experienced life should think long and hard about the decision to preach to the people that make their livelihoods.
