And that just gets under my skin. Not even invited to the Heisman event. It is really a shame and wrong.

The blind homerism is so hard to stomach.

Fournette finished sixth and they invited the top 3.

Maybe you should contact the 900+ Heisman voters to tell them why they're wrong.

Henry got 40 + carries in his last two games of the season, in garbage time.

Saban helped Henry. Didn't want Fournette and LSU to win it. Cocked blocked again...

Time will prove that LF is the better back. Heisman or not.

So you think Saban told Kiffin to run Henry because he didn't want Fournette to win the Heisman???

That's truly the dumbest thing I've ever read on the Rant.

I think Saban wanted Henry to win and by extension Fournette to lose it, yes.

Saban gave Henry the opportunity to pad his stats at the end of the season and helped him win the Heisman.

Schools and coaches are very much a part of Heisman campaigns.

It is not really a hard thing to understand. From Alabama and Nick Saban's point of view:

-Henry wins Heisman - good for Alabama recruiting.
-Fournette wins Heisman - bad for Alabama recruiting.

Not that there is anything wrong with it, but yes.

Saban recruited fournette hard, he wants future kids to come to bama over lsu. They could have had drake or anyone really take those last 10+ carries in some of those games if the heisman/rushing record wouldn't help recruiting

40 carries is a lot. Especially when the game is in hand

Also, I know it feels like fournette got all our carries, but guice and Williams out rushed bama's #2 and #3 backs (yes with 3 less games).

They wanted the heisman bad

Yards from scrimmage:

Henry 2310 in 15 games
LF 2206 in 12 games

Henry passed LF for most all purpose yards in the SEC. Otherwise, LF would have had that title two years in a row.

Let me check my math, 104 more yards in three games.

Henry was definitely Heisman worthier for sure.
