Y'all have nothing to worry about. Ingram won mostly because of the ridiculous line he was running behind and LF is making Ingram's season look average.

You made it seem like he got no stats in a game, and in this argument, that is a big deal. It was clearly misleading. Him missing the game helped his ypc, which is why this entire line of reasoning is important. He wasn't going to average 47 a carry against Wake. Simple as that.

FSU already had their bye and Cook has missed a game to injury.

Cook also has less carries

I didn't know they had a bye already. Ok, so then we have to look at the schedule, be objective and say if LSU played the same teams - what would his stats look like? And vice versa?

I am not doubting that Cook is a great back. I looked at his stats...

He is impressive but would he have the same type of numbers against the same competition? That's a legitimate question. I'm not trying to be an SEC or LSU homer.

Dude got 2 carries against Wake before he pulled his hammy and left in the first quarter. He would have probably 200 more yards if he hadn't gone out. Pretty much equivalent to a game

It might not be fair, but people will say that game helped his YPC. He wouldn't have ended the game with 94 yards per rush or whatever it was. And the second Cook's YPC falls below LF's, this thing is over.

Yeah it helped his ypc but also hurt his total rushing yards and TD totals.

Hard to see how this guy ever had a story published.

Arguing for a Utah RB with just over 4 ypc
And don't get me started on Delvin Cook....who only avoids being behind bars right now thanks to the bad nature and corruptness of the Tallahassee PD...

This idiot has obviously never seen Fournette run or he would see as well all have that Leonard gets yards that no one else could - including his very capable backups.

No question. The point is, he didn't miss an entire game to injury as stated. The time he missed had a benefit in the comparison, not just a detriment. Sounds like we agree.

The SEC rushing defense are far from spectacular this year, if you ask me. The real litmus test is Alabama at this point.

I've already stated I think Fournette deserves the Heisman. Dalvin has been injured and had a bad game against Boston College (though he was injured then too). The game has to be played and you can't punish Fournette for that.

All I'm saying is if Dalvin were healthy this would be a closer race.

And, let's not forget that LSU's o-line is FAR SUPERIOR to FSU's. It's not even close.

I hate it that people think the Heisman is about who is the most important player for his team.

The award goes to the most outstanding player in football. Not the most important player for Utah.

No... it's not different... It's a dickhead... Nolan Ryan had more strikeouts and more no hitters than anyone ever. He pitched at an incredibly high level for many, many years and was a shoe-in first ballot unanimous HOFamer for Baseball's Cooperstown museum. However one... ONE.. writer did not put him on the ballot. He still went in, just not unanimously. When asked why, the super dickhead said, "I just didn't think Nolan Ryan was who I wanted in the game in the ninth inning to win the game..."

These journalists think their opinions and their incredibly small audiences makes them worth something. And they like to exercise their opinion as a chip of power and they know if they run against the grain with that opinion they stand a better chance of ending up on the other talking dickhead shows...

TL;dr: Leonard Fournette has more good players on his team than these other guys, and that makes him less outstanding

I guess I'll take it? Fournette is still better than anyone he mentioned.

I don't disagree at all. The Heisman is Fournette's to lose at this point. No doubt the O-line is far superior. It would be interesting to see what Cook would be behind this line.

I guess we all have to wait and see what happens on 11/7. And how Cook will perform against Florida and Clemson.

No doubt. Cook is just now starting to get the attention he deserves. And he deserves more, if you ask me.

The good news is, based on his history, Fournette will likely insist that the Hesiman is shared with his linemen, full backs, and tight ends.

I guess Emmitt Smith was just good because of that Cowboy's OL.

Here's the real talk. After Cook's trouble during his career he could have better numbers than Barry Sanders and Kevin Smith combined and he STILL won't win the Heisman.

But his reasoning is why the heisman isnt a big deal anymore. He votes it as a mvp award. Its supposed to be for the best player in cfb.
But yet his list doesn't contain left tackles, kickers, or inside linebackers that may in fact be the best players on their teams and irreplaceable.

It is ok to have a thought process, but not ok to violate it as soon as you vote. The Ute RB is just garbage compared to Cook, Fournette, Henry, and probably 325 more.
