Well, I think Dean needed to sit for a couple of games to just mentally catch up and see some of the other hitters and see what they were doing for a game or two without the pressure of having to hit. Benching a player for a short while during a slump may actually help them out (ie leon landry); but I never wanted him (or Landry for that matter) to 'not succeed' just because they were slumping, like some of the other idiot posters on this board have wanted/stated...
