You keep digging deeper.
Arkansas, auburn, georgia, and vandy all hit better against lefties than righties this year. And south carolina was just about dead even.

Nobody is arguing it isn’t good to have a bunch of lefties you can throw. They are arguing against the stupid point you and a couple others are still trying to make that we struggled against lefties. It isn’t even debatable, that’s a false statement

Technically, we didn't struggle against anybody.

But you very literally said we did.

For the second time. Take this loss and move on. You aren't doing yourself any favors. Take it as a lesson not to repeat stuff that you hear on the rant as facts. Stop digging.

Jumping in very late to say 10-15 “points” better just means 1-1.5% better. If that’s not negligible over the course of an entire season then I don’t know what is.

I suck at math but I’m pretty sure that’s not even an extra hit per game.

I thought Cooper and Ack would have gone in the draft by day 2. I wonder if the $150K that doesn't count against the bonus pool in rounds 11-20 will get them to sign?
I'm not even counting Johnson, but it is becoming a question of how many innings are available for LHP on this staff next season, especially if Cooper and/or Ack return?

You're taking it too literally. Over time, everyone does. If you take one at bat, one game, or even one season, you have exceptions. Hell, Tre Morgan hits left handers really well - better than right handers his freshman year.

4 out of 14 is not a good percentage. I'll take 10 out of 14, every time.

What was the split for the entire country?

You just refuse to quit. You are moving goal post, and now grasping at straws.

You, Pirate King, magician, double oh, and nicolastiger should all start a private chat together. You would probably fit in much better there.

Learn from your mistakes & move on. If you can do that...you're smarter than most of this board.

Way too many people on this board think that being right is more important than understanding & growing. Ironically, the only way to understand/grow is to realize that you're not always right.

Looks like we are going to struggle to hit power righties.

This is not a statistical anomaly. It's this way almost every year.

Left handed pitchers with average stuff perform better than right handed pitchers with average stuff on average.

I don't know how else to say it. Having a stable of left handed pitchers is good because teams don't hit lefties as well as righties most of the time.

You are right, and I don’t think anyone is arguing against this. What they are arguing against is that “we struggled against LHP”. We didn’t.

Also, I think the SEC only stats, in which we hit BETTER against lefties, really undermines your point. Those are the good lefties. A lot of posters are saying that the stats this year show negligible differences between hitting LHP and RHP. They are probably right.

That's not at all your original statement.
Just say "I was wrong", it's OK
