I don't know much about QB techniques but could Lee passing falling back off his back foot be the reason that many of his passes have been a tadbit high. It seems like that might be the cause. Any qb gurus have an answer. Thanks.

this is exactly why his passes are a little high and tend to have more hang time than you'd like

Just a natural habit he has learned from his mother's womb.

Against ky i thought lee was a little high with his throws but im going to suggest he had a little bit of a letdown! after all its been a nerve wrecking month for him. every qb has his ups and downs i guess.

He has done a great job of getting the ball to the wrs but I think the high balls are affecting the wrs catching ball cleanly.

The Definition of "Passing Off Your Back Foot" says the QB is throwing while he is still backing up and never gets set. Once set all QB's throw off their back foot. The best at throwing while they are still backing up are Brett Favre and Peyton Manning. Typically a QB does this when he spots an open receiver and throws the ball before he gets set in an attempt to complete the pass early. I think also that Broadway Joe Namath was excellent at this. If you are good at Throwing off your back foot then this adds to your QB ability and does not take away.

He's been throwing off that back foot more and more recently, but it doesn't matter as long as it doesn't hurt him/us.

Some QBs do this when not under diress, including one of ours. Not a big problem vs some teams, but major vs others with A-grade DBs.
It does lead to high throws and weak deep passes also.
eta: Farve didn't throw any ints, he's an exception.

The sad fact is that most people who criticize Lee for this have no idea what it means. We need an educational video narrated by Malaysian Tiger's avatar (in person) to get everyone on the same page.

Manning and Favre have much stronger arms than Lee, which help them out a lot. I feel like Favre could rifle a ball from a barstool. Lee doesn't have that arm. It has really been a non-issue so far, but it will lead to some poor throws. All quarterbacks do it, just not nearly as often.
