Maybe miles is a problem, but based on what we see on the field QB play or lack thereof is the issue.

if Miles is the problem, then who is to blame for the QB development?

With horrid QB play, I don't see how it can all be blamed onthe OC. Not saying Crowton isn't complicit, I just don't see how he could take all the blame with the worst QB play I've seen in a long time at LSU.

"Miles may be the problem."

Again, TigerNation - there is no "problem." the team is 4 and 0. There is opportunity to improve. There is the challenge to get better.

Positive thinking, ladies and gents. Be positive. How hard is it to focus on what it right and hope for improvement until it gets better?

Why isn't Ensminger the one people are upset with? He's the qb and te coach.

MILES may be the real problem. We have no idea who is calling those plays or dictating the offense.

Miles IS the problem. He's the HEAD coach and dictates everything. That's his offense out on the field for the most part. Crowton IS calling plays, but it's based on exactly the plan and script that Miles wants. GC is a Spread/Vertical passing guy. That's not a Crowton offense we see out there.........

Corso must be blind. He must have meant....he could be that great, but Miles never turns him loose. You can see that Miles has set his jaw and will play JJ. The more the booing, the more he gritted his teeth last week. Never saw a winning coach get so much flack. Fans dispise him and are booing Miles and the play calling. I think the fans actually like JJ and wish he were a good QB. He just has no clue. Ensminger has little to work with, as JJ appears to be a very slow learner.

You can't "coach mule to run the quarter mile"
he has no QB to coach.

Dandy are you out of your mind. Turn what loose?
We drill a pass into the ground twice in a row with a receiver open.
Play calling is as wide open as the players can handle at this point.

We won't see Lee starting at qb unless JJ gets hurt We won't see Shepard taking more than 1-2 snaps at wildcat. Peterson will probably never see the field on offense We will never light up the score board with a passing game
These are facts IMO

Your post contradicts itself so much I don't even have to put up an argument to make you look stupid

I hold both Miles & Crowton responsible-- Miles for being so stubborn & insistent that JJ is the only answer at QB, and Crowton for the terrible play-calling that does not take advantage of all the great athletic ability on offense.

Its the perfect storm: lack of talent and/or instincts at QB, combined with suspect coordination, and a HC who thinks he can fix things himself, having never been a coordinator and not known as an offensive mind.

And Miles solution has been to add more opinions to the mix (Gonzalez, Ensminger) to muddy the water more.

There is absolutely no reason- given the lack of production from our base offense- not to run a wildcat with any of the talented players at our disposal. Other teams have made this formation nearly 50% of their attack. The only reason we're not seeing it is Miles.

The solution, which could have happened this offseason and might have resulted in an SEC 'ship this year because the team is that talented, is to hire a strong OC and let him run the show. We'd still have QB problems, but they could be minimized by a cohesive plan of attack.

The good news is that the defense is young and should still be top caliber next year. If Miles makes the right coaching moves in the offseason, next year can be special- as in championship-type special.

An important rule in any business...

you do not wait on "hope for improvement"...

you develop a plan should things start to go bad. Have it in place and utilize it.

Waiting on hope, is like waiting to fail..

If Miles is hoping on JJ improving, then the results will be the same if he does not utilize his backup plan (Lee).
