re: Leavitt back-pedaling on throws is slightly concerning

No it's not at all

We’ve never had a QB like him so I’m just telling you get used to how he plays. He’s gonna scare the shite out of the tight wad fans because he plays with his hair on fire but he’s going to make a bunch of big plays. Just don’t expect the year 2 polish of a jD4+1 or Mett or Jamarcus, that’s not what this guy is. He’s Manziel or for old heads the OG Archie Manning. Thats how he plays the game.

I’m going to need some clarification on this. The line had given up a whopping negative 2 rushing yards going into the 4th quarter. Seems to me like they more than held their own against a power conference opponent

I don’t know what these people are watching or, who they’re listening to is probably more to the point, but the DTs played really well. We were on the other side of the LOS all night, I think we caused a negative play on around 25% of Clemson’s snaps and if you count incompletions as a negative play it was over 39% which is unreal.

Everyone around me at the game thought I was crazy for criticizing most of his throws so it’s good to know I’m not the only one a tad concerned about that.
Jesus Christ, just this post is obnoxious. I can’t imagine how insufferable you must be to sit next to.

I don't remember him backpedalling at all.
He made some risky throws and some that needed better placement, but I don't remember anything wrong with his footwork.
Bottom line, his passing will get better. He'll see the field better. But the guy is an automatic 8+ yards when he decides to go. Going to be a lot of long high play drives. Gives the defense time to do what they did Saturday

The freahman DTs were a big problem.
They were decent, ate up blockers and allowed the badass LBs and safeties to make plays.
That IS blake bakers defense.

He has 2 lost fumbles in 3 years of college ball

Only time I was really concerned about it was the long throw to Winnie, it looked like he was falling backwards, but it honestly couldn't have been a more perfect throw.

I'm sure that Kiffin and the staff have been working with him on it but it's definitely something I'd like to see cleaned up going forward

I am in full agreement with your concerns. Those bad habits could be very costly for LSU at a very critical time. ....but may it never be!

He dropped his eyes early on some plays(jd 2022) and he drifted on a couple throws (nuss). I feel like some of the kinks are still being worked out with reps etc especially since he missed the spring. The best thing about anything we can nitpick is that this team as a whole is not a finished product and still has plenty to improve on.
