and Jones is a fricking awful coach. All that talent last year and this year, and the results speak for themselves. He has two lotto players on the court and there's already talk of "what if they don't even make the tournament".

Yep. He's about the best we can do. Will bring in exciting players and we'll see some great games along the way. Enjoy it for what it is. Entertainment. We're not building a basketball powerhouse here.

There is bad mojo around the LSU athletic program right now. I fear a reverse voodoo curse has been placed on us. It is going to get much worse before it gets better.

Sometimes having talent exposes other flaws. When JJ first took the Job and the team would lose games, the general consensus was that the team didn't have the overall talent level to compete, but now We have the talent with similar results. Some of the games we lost then and losing now are because JJ doesn't appear to have the ability to make in game adjustments and put players in positions where their skills can benefit the team. You can't simply throw talent out there and say "Go Win".

He has future pros in his lineup but in order for the team to reach their potential or what their overall talent suggest they should, The X and O's have to be better, the accountability has to be better, you can't simply roll the balls out. I personally believe this team will get better and still be one of the top teams in the SEC but they just have some growing to do, players and staff.

Normally you are a somewhat respectable poster. Today is not that day.

And what offense do we run? Everyone stands at the 3 and watches and waits for he ball. There is no movement, motion, screening, nothing

Add in does not know how to block out and rebound that this pretty much sums up this team. All they look to do is jack it up from 3. Will be a long season!

You can flame Johnny Jones he deserves it, especially for last night. But a 20 point deficit is on more than the staff.

But is anyone gonna put players at blame also? Someone has to step up. Ben had his worst night and Tone, sampson and JP are almost non factors. TQ thinks he can do whatever he wants and gray is hit and miss. You are gonna take lumps with Epps playing the 4 beacause hes not a 4, hes a wing. Bridge gives what he cans and your 2 7 footer are goofballs sometimes.

As of now We have one NBA player on the team and the rest are Jabronis

Sometimes? I think you are being generous with that statement! They are useless!

Good lord you have your head up your arse!

I can assure you from watching College of Charleston play many, many times over the years they NEVER have a bad team.

You might want to get your eyes checked. That, or your standards for a good team are extremely low. They haven't had a winning season in 2 years. They haven't been to the NCAAT this century.

I'll admit JJ is not Calipari (THANK GOD)

Thank God is right! Who the hell wants to have a national championship caliber program anyway?

quote:

but he's not a total prick like the one before who wouldn't even let the son of Pete Maravich play in his final game

Who gives a shite about winning? Having a head coach who is a nice guy is really the most important thing, right?. This isn't 7th grade basketball where you play kids just so everyone is happy. The ONLY reason Pete's kid was on the team was because of his last name. He should have been thankful just for that. And for the record, super-nice guy Johnny Jones didn't play John Odo or any other senior walk-on in their last home game either. He was too busy watching his team get their arse kicked by a bad Tennessee team.

Let me know which game JJ will be carried off the court on the players' shoulders. I want to be there for THAT excitement.

Can he sing the alma mater, too?
