UF didn't make a mistake. They accomplished exactly what they wanted to.

Then you're delaying bowl & playoff selections and that isn't happening.

Can't wait for the post-meeting notes to trickle out. "We tried to reschedule and we couldn't. Oh well."

Failure is an option for all parties. This game is cancelled and it's laughable a solution couldn't be found.

the sec would look even dumber moving the sec title game back if LSU and UF both lose again.

Florida is not going to be trying hard to reschedule this. Lsu needs to team up with tennessee's ad and put all sorts of pressure on the sec. Florida already has an insurance plan for missing the lsu game due to weather.

Florida takes the L, learns to be prepared, and South Carolina, LSU, Saints, UCF, and some high school teams stand up and explain how its done to UForfeit. Everyone wins.

That horse has left the barn.

The only reasonable "resolution" left would be for the league to agree that punishing LSU for UF's refusal to play is morally bankrupt, and that in the case of LSU running the table and Auburn losing another SEC game, LSU would go to ATL.
