He really didn't intentionally hit it. The pitch came inside and hit the bat.
It was 3-2 count and still bunted down 1st base line.

I think Dugas could have got the bunt down. He’s a clutch guy. No reason to take him out in that situation.

He panics, when he ran on the field and told our pitcher to tag a guy in the dugout that encapsulates his demeanor.

I don’t think he knew much about it. It was a fastball that was moving in on his hands.
