When was the last time LSU beat all of the SEC teams at that current time in a single regular season?

I want to say the Pettit 1952-1953 Season. edit:
Misread your question. ‘80-‘81 Season. Only SEC lost was a loss to Kentucky in the final regular season game. ‘52-‘53 & ‘34-‘35 Seasons were the only two season they went undefeated in conference play

Probably the 1981 team that went to the Final Four. They were 17-1 in an era in which you played all 9 teams twice.

1980-81. LSU finished 17-1 in the SEC with the lone loss @ Kentucky. LSU beat Kentucky in PMAC earlier in the season.

So win February 20th or March 6th, February 23rd, and March 9th and LSU basketball will have done something that not many LSU teams have done before. #bootup

More impressive would be if we repeated the feat we've only accomplished before in 1981 where we won 30+ games. This will be a special season if we reach the 30 win mark

It’s harder to beat every team in the conference now because there are 13 opponents and you only get one shot at 8 of them. In 1981, there were only 10 SEC teams and you had 9 opponents you played twice. And because of the double round-robin format, LSU did it in ‘79 and in ‘80, too, because no team swept them in the regular season in those years.

I do agree 30 wins is likely more significant and impressive but beating every team in the conference in one season is harder to do now and would be more impressive than it was in 1981 or any other season before the league expanded in ‘92.

I am almost positive The one loss in 1981 in conference was to Kentucky in the PMAC in the last game of the year. They had won in Rupp earlier in the year,.....and frick Kyle Macy.

I was wrong. LSU did win at the PMAC convincingly. They lost 73-71 at Rupp the last game of the season.

LSU lost in PMAC in 1980 to Kentucky, after beating them in Rupp earlier. The situation in 1981 was reversed.
