I always thought that God made heaven to be each man's most wonderful, perfect place. Maybe when your Grandpa walks through the pearly gates, he will walk out onto the 50 yard line in Tiger Stadium, in front of 95,000 screaming fans, and God will announce over the PA: "Welcome to Death Valley. The sun is going down and it's Saturday Night!"

Adam,
Your post made me tear up....
the last time I was with my grandfather, I sat and watched a Cubs game with him in the hospital. He hadn't spoken in days, and we all knew it was his time to go. While I was there the phone rang, so I muted the game to answer when he said clear as day, "Turn that game back on...." I think about that every time I see the Cubs playing....
I wish your grandfather a big, convincing win by the Tigers tonight, and know that he will be a part of every LSU game for the rest of your life!

God bless you and your family Adam. Hope the suffering is close to an end for your grandpa, but know that he will soon be in a better place. I hope he gets to go out watching LSU play one of it's best games in a long time. Take care of yourself and your familiy.

Sadly tomorrow will probably be the last LSU game my grandpa will get to watch. He's dying of just about every cancer in the book it seems like and has hit the last big downfall before the inevitable end. If all of you could raise your glasses tomorrow for a lifelong diehard LSU fan I'm sure he would appreciate it
Here's to hoping LSU kicks the ever living shite out of vandy tomorrow just to give him the satisfaction of the last game being a good one.
Thanks in advance guys and everyone have a safe and fun gameday tomorrow
Damn man thats tough. I'm sure he's lived a long and good life. Shame it can't last for much longer but sounds like he's surrounded by a loving family. That speaks volumes of his character. Cheers to him.

Sorry to hear that. Im sure he has had a great life though. Tell him he needs to make it one more week to see his last LSU game in Tiger Stadium!
Prayers sent to your grandpa.

I hope his last one is a great one. The most important thing for him now is to have his friends and family with him

Adam4LSU, here's a coincidence...
My first name is Adam as well, and I'm posting as I'm4LSU. Maybe I'm looking too far into this, but here's the kicker.... I lost my grandpa about 3 hours before kickoff last week. He too was a lifelong Tiger fan. Hope the Tigers win big for your grandpa tonight. Take comfort in the fact that he will never miss another game!!
Thoughts and prayers from my family to yours.
