Must have been in a rush to get back into the dugout and back to Netflix on his phone. Horrible at bat!

In his defense and I haven't liked his at bats lately, he and a few guys are pressing when getting a chance to swing the bat. This seperates the player from the great player and who gets on the field.

This. He's forcing the issue because he's losing playing time from the cold bat. The kid is talented, we saw that in SEC play last year. Hope he snaps out of this slump.

Just a slump. We need someone in a slump now. Can't have anyone in a slump 2 weeks from now.

Ok well it’s one thing to be struggling at the plate. He looked awful.
But it’s a whole different and bigger set of problems if a player is on their phone watching movies in the dugout.

What’s interesting is that last year and the first few games of this year I felt like his best attribute at the plate was how patient he was. Felt like he could end up being like Pearson with more upside. But he’s chasing a ton of bad balls lately. Really hope he can regain his confidence soon. Braswell too. Kinda crazy that our two best hitters against the SEC last year are struggling as much as they are against weaker competition.

The crazy thing about baseball is someone can get hot and play completely above their normal ability. Braswell suddenly turned into a slugger at the right time last year and outpaced his first 2 and a half years of HR production in the back half of his JR year. Doesn’t necessarily mean he suddenly figured everything out, he just got insanely hot. Maybe he does that again, but then again it’s very likely he doesn’t.
