This is hypothetical, so calm yourselves. But what are the chances Lane would come here.

O and Lane are friends and get along together. He almost came here to be OC, actually, but FAU gave him an offer he couldn't turn down.
He hates Saban enough that i think he would love the opportunity to Coach against him.
And he's got the kind of offense that O wants, and that we need.

How long before he's ready to hang things up at FAU and come help us out?

He chose the FAU HC job over our OC job two years ago. Why do you think he would now do the opposite?

He would leave FAU to come here and be the head coach. That's it

They're not exactly lighting it up over there. They are 4-5 right now, and 2-3 in their conference.

Just a thought. Didn't say he was coming. Just a scenario that would be great if it did happen.

And besides our next HC is our current defensive coordinator, I am excited to see what decisions Aranda makes for the offense. Coach O has done a good job but he is like les he let's personal friendships get in the way of business.

Didn't skip Holtz just whip his arse?

Why not go after Skip rather than Lane?

Lane would never work for O. Period.

The fact that Alleva bought that nonsense is proof of how fricking stupid he is.

Aside from being his former chauffeur/bodyguard/jester, he also stabbed him in the back to the USC AD the same way he did to Miles to try to get his real dream job.

You should probably explain what you are talking about. Sounds like you have some fantastical images in your head. Do you have proof of said undertaking?

I think we offered him more $ than FAU. He wants to be a HC.

This would be interesting. I wonder what style Offense he would prefer to be matched with his D.

Maybe LK has matured a little...looks like he is a better OC than HC and might like to work with O, IF O stays out his way a la Aranda. I'd love to see him in BR.
