How could anyone not know who Landon Donovan is? I don't follow tennis but I sure as shite know who Pete Sampras is.

That's actually a really good example.

Right. Comparing a guy who won 14 Grand Slam titles, more than any other male tennis player in history up to his time, including 5 U.S. Open titles, to a soccer player who maybe 15% of the U.S. population has heard of is a "good example."

A better comparison would be to Pele' who even non-soccer fans has heard of. If your thread was about Pele' being an LSU fan I would have been impressed. Or, Pete Sampras, too, for that matter.

He's the most famous American soccer player of all time. Just surprised anyone who actually follows sports has never heard of him. Very surprised.

So you have heard of American soccer players. Mia Hammer being more famous than Donovan is definitely debatable but that's not really the point.

I'm not sure what your point is really. So you've never heard of him. Just surprising to me. Almost would have to be living under a rock.

So I'm poorly trolling because I made a thread wondering if Landon Donovan was an LSU fan because he's buddies with Jacob Hester?

Ok, got it.

Your ignorance is showing again. I guarantee if you asked 1000 randoms who Landon Donovan was at least 900 of them could tell you. It's time to admit that you just wanted to look cool by bashing soccer.
