Hope that makes for a good life for you.
You can't be serious? If so, you are the dumbest poster in this thread.
There are TONS of lifelong LSU kids who can't financially make it to move to BR and attend a more expensive LSU. You really expect them to not still love LSU as an adult?
See your post is EXACTLY what is wrong and going on in this argument! You don't think ULLLLL students attend other schools to get their masters, etc? What about a Lafayette guy who goes to med or law school and GRADUATES from another university? Are the forced to dislike USL?
Your point is just stupid and again, exactly why you ullllll idiots are laughed at

Before recently, ULLLLL hadn't beaten Mcneese ever!(or for sure since the 70s) and for a decade, basically refused to play them even though it would sell out the stadium....think about that, USL avoided small little Mcneese and a huge payday for their program..because they wanted to be able to TALK big, but couldn't show it.

All this has been a big campaign to guilt LSU into scheduling ULL. Marlin playing the LSU fanbase and Alleva on this deal and he's falling for it.
I say screw it, don't ever schedule them

Why do the Cajuns come and bitch on an LSU website? Go pull the facts -- ULL loses money every year in their athletic program. That is a fact. It pulls money from the Univ's Gen Fund to cover the loss, every year. Crappy conference and dwindling state revenue support -- dwindling for ALL colleges. So, the spiral is real.
That is why the silly emotional BS comes from this base of fans. Blaming someone other than themselves. 10 years from now the ULL athletic department will look much different than today. It can't keep absorbing larger and larger losses. This isn't LSU's fault. Look in the mirror... La Tech has long passed the Cajuns by and even a weakened Tulane (after Katrina) got into a better conference.
These are all facts.
And the state support for universities in La is based on a per student formula. I wish it wasn't but it is.
So, ULL gets what Southern gets, and so on...
Go check out who is on the hook for the 100+M in projects for ULL. Whose backing those bonds? It ain't the RCAF...
Being an arse when you have no leverage isn't very damn smart. Pissing of LSU is one thing -- I would say Big Brother has around 50-60% of the popular support in La. Giving the remaining 35%-45% a rallying cry (every school expect ULL and LSU) that actually have people who care just isn't smart.
McNeese hates the Cajuns. Tech really hates the Cajuns. ULM hates the Cajuns. That combined with LSU is way more than the Cajuns can absorb. I hope the Cajuns ramp up their stupidity with their name even further. It would be beautiful to see ULM get the UL name and the Cajuns given USL. Its a legislature decision. Not a decision at the Curve Lounge between 5 drunk machinists.

You seem very angry. A very angry dumbass.
Stating mostly opinions and then claiming that they are 'facts' still does not make them factual.
Maybe when y'all stop posting about someone y'all 'don't care about' we will stop responding.

Not angry - Aggravated but not angry.
Are you disputing ULL loses money every year in their athletic department? 6M+ last year alone
Are you disputing your nationally respected baseball program has only been to Omaha 1 time -- almost 2 decades ago?
Are you disputing your football program - at its peak under the previous coach reached a high in rankings of 43rd.... And are you disputing that season was vacated because of widespread cheating via the NCAA penalties?
Are you disputing the best basketball season in 20+ years ended in a being forced by the NIT to travel to a 9th place SEC team's home arena? And then losing the 1st round game?
Are you disputing the very coach who started your nationally ranked softball team -- I will give the Cajuns real credit on this one. The softball team is really good very end and year out and nationally respected -- that coach left ULL to head to the SEC. And, certainly in the last 5 years the Cajuns softball team is 2nd in La.
Penis envy got the Cajuns. Should have concentrated in men's basketball and baseball. Instead of trying to chase a unicorn on the football field.
What is the goal? To win the Sun Belt. What does that really get you? Losing every year is unsustainable.
Am I wrong on ULL getting less money every year from the state of La? Student fees have been raised to a breaking point... Tuition and "fees" are at a ceiling -- For years ULL, like many other states schools, tuition was much lower than the regional competition. No longer is this the case.
How will revenues grow? Not from the State. Not from the students -- enrollment is stagnant and going up again isn't really a true option. So, the big issue for ULL is within ULL. The battle for cash will be between the professors and money losing athletic programs. Go check out how much money the ULL baseball has lost every year over the last 5 years. I really don't give two shits but you would think Cajun fans would actually care about this and try to voice some real questions at their leadership.
I know from the Tiger end -- just because we can "afford" it doesn't mean losing $3M per year in women's basketball is acceptable. And our biggest loser track and field -- what are we doing here? So what if we win a national championship? is it worth losing $6M? Real questions that focus on the direction of the athletic department? Is is really smart to try and win a national championship in every sport? it sounds good but is this smart?

5 days Later and Schultz was STILL talking about it this morning. Got into an argument with a couple friends about it the other day. They really believe they had a harder schedule than us. Immediately after losing to LSU in basketball, they claimed LSU is "scared" to play them.
They constantly live up to the little brother stereotype. Like a little kid crying that his big brother won't play with them. They're so delusional and want to matter so bad. It's actually kind of adorable.

Apparently Ul Lafayette wants LSU to schedule them every year. If this happens, shouldn't LATech, UL Monroe, New Orleans and whoever else get a chance every year? Of course not.

I wonder why they don't get invited to olay in the same season starting tournaments as LSU?
I love the fact that they beat LSU in baseball this time....it keeps the sand fresh in their vaginas. Later this year, LSU will be hosting a regional and/or super regional, and they will be here in full MELT talking about their schedule and how they deserve the host site because of a midweek win at home.

Dude: only someone who is EXTREMELY obsessed with something would be devoting so much time and energy into it, only to twist it to all to fit a narrow-minded and hateful view. Did you fail to get into UL at some point? Did your dog get run over on St. Mary St?
Baseball: you obviously are unaware of the battle that Robe has faced to face to build our program into what it is today. Not many other nonP5 schools have achieved what we have.....and no one has had more hurdles to cross. Under Ray A. if Robe wanted uniforms he had to pay for them. If he raised money, it was taken away from him. Yet today we have one of the best stadiums in the country, are nationally known as one of the best atmospheres in the NCAA.....and our attendance is routinely in the top ten......also nationally. Get your head out of your arse and learn the WHOLE story before you try to make your case.
Football: see above for much of the same struggles that we faced with the former admin. Have you been under a rock....or have you not heard about how we got rid of our last coach? And that he has been replaced with one of the nation's best newcomers? Did you know that both Saban and Dabo took the time to call our AD to recommend him for the job? And that we are paying him the second highest salary in the G5? And that we expect results from that salary? And where do you think the money came from for that salary? It came from the RCAF and other private donors.
Basketball: are we disappointed that it ended the way that it did? You bet. Will we continue to build on our success? Again, you bet on it. We have a great facility that recently underwent a $20 million renovation....paid for by the city. Why don't you compare our attendance with other G5's or anyone else for that matter? Guess that wouldn't fit into your hateful rant.
Softball: what a dick you are. All you can do is focus on a coach that left us over 20 years ago? Do you think we are blind to the fact that any of our coaches would be crazy to NOT take a job that has a much larger salary and unlimited budget? And funny how your little hate-parade narrative leaves off on Yvette, and fails to mention the continued success and growth that we had in that program.....or that she was on the team to select our newest head coach. Nah, no one would get anything positive about us from your little petty tirade.
Enrollment: at just under 20K we are currently at the goal we had set, and the max we can handle on a campus of only ~125 acres. Logistically we cannot handle much more than the current numbers, without doing some substantial additions to our faculty/staff, facilities, etc. We are working on growing the physical footprint of the main campus by trying to purchase the former OLOL property....but as you so like to point out we certainly cannot count on that from the state....especially when they are throwing so much of our money to lsu....and basically have NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT.
Funny how you also fail to mention the new AD we hired, and how he is finally following the master plan that was done a couple of years ago. Or the FACT that we now have a president and admin that are not only supporters of academics, but also now understand and support our athletic programs.
Have we achieved all the goals, or are we anywhere where we should be? Surely not.....and we are the first to realize that. But don't think for a fricking minute that we will quit trying. No one else does, so why should we????
And we are the only state school that has the population and passionate fan base that can support growth....just because you refuse to accept that FACT, won't change it. And if you think that when we eventually and consistently produce better products on the field that that support won't grow, you are delusional. But maybe you already do know that FACT and that's what is fueling your obsessive fear about us.
We may have a 'big brother' but we are ashamed to say that he has a teeny-tiny little penis.....which he has been so willing to show us all week with all of these stupid UL threads.
