If BRPD don't have any follow up questions he's free to move on from this investigation. That's of course there's any new evidence that comes up involving him.

So what was the initial theory that he was involved? That he was a special breed of pro athlete that gave a frick about a baby momma and bastard kid? The model is to ignore them, not kill them. Amirite?

Wish he would have cleared this all up on the Saturday they contacted him. If he and his lawyer had met with police and had the paternity test prior to the draft, this probably would not have happened

BRPD didn't screw him out of anything. They did their jobs accordingly. They also made it clear he wasn't a suspect.

Well, since Ms. Mills can't vouch for him, he was stuck proving the truth to the police. He took a polygraph which shows a level of certainty in what he apparently told the police. Maybe, just maybe he already knew he wasn't the father a long time ago. Maybe she told him he wasn't around the time they stopped seeing each other. None of us really know.
At this point for him, this is all but over.

How is it the fault of LSU fans that the BRPD wanted to talk to Collins and get a paternity test. Most everyone was saying he should fly back and do the paternity test before the draft. And his agent and/or lawyer should have advised him to do so. The folks advising him to just ignore everything cost him a lot of money.

They better have something very obvious that pointed them in Collins' direction. They've come up empty on everything so far. She better have something on her phone or in an email or something. Otherwise I won't not believe they saw Collins' name and got a hard on at the potential story. Remember, this is a dept that seized a kids 50+ count shoe collection over a bar fight. Which, btw, proved to be less than useless to the investigation.
