How did we go from inadmissible excerpts of a wiretap to the death penalty? This thing is small potatoes.

They don't need to wait for the FBI dumbass.

How bout you slow your role a tad and let the investigation play out. They have to find actual evidence that money was exchanged, not just a conversation about it happening.

Wade had to suspended to avoid the NCAA’s fearsome lack of institutional control and it’s “death penalty”.

This is stupid.

Nothing was going to change by allowing Wade to finish the year.

Since there are no allegations, there’s no evidence that LSU is lacking in institutional control.

And there’s not gonna be since LSU obviously is practicing textbook institutional control presently.

If the worst of the accusations are true, the NCAA already has plenty to charge LSU with Lack of Institutional Control.

There wouldn’t have been any indication of a lack of institutional control had they just let it be and not suspended Wade.

Solid rebuttal. Much better than your usual.

Don’t you have to be a “repeat violator” to get the death penalty?

Just like OP, almost everyone who throws that term around has no idea what it means. I think they just love to say it. It sounds cool, right?

1. No infractions have even been alleged yet, much less investigated.

If you wait for investigations to take place before taking any action, that's not showing control.

2. If you really think suspending Wade is going to work in LSU’s favor if the NCAA wants to come down with the hammer...well, I really can’t help you.

Showing a lack of institutional control will ALWAYS make the penalty worse.

3. Nobody will ever get the “death penalty” again.

Doesn't matter, see above. You just never want to be seen as lacking institutional control.

Besides, it hasn't cost LSU anything yet. Perhaps LSU could be looking into the situation between now and the NCAA tournament that could satisfy them enough to reinstate Wade - they could at least be able to plausibly claim institutional control.

Ok.

How about just waiting until an allegation is even made, huh?

Institutional control is making sure you cheat the right way. Will wade broke institutional control when his lips got loose talking to a friend about something he should not have been.

I'm just going to guess that the BoS or F.King talked to someone at the NCAA about this over the past few days.

Because being in control is not waiting.

For allegations that may never even come?

All you’re doing is making yourself LOOK guilty.
