I know there are a few guys here who really keep up with that sort of thing, where does Labas stand right now? And what’s his future look like in terms of potentially playing in the MLB?

I’m by no means an MLB guru but I would be surprised if Labas had a career in the MLB. I think he’s comparable to Poche. He’ll be able to bounce around the minors for as long as he wants and he may even get a cup of coffee in the majors at some point but I don’t think he’ll ever stick there. Hope like hell I’m wrong he has been fun to watch here

I feel like he could be a short term reliever who can come in and get a ground ball double play, but he has to get a little more consistent with his changeup placement.

Agreed. He has improved from his freshmen year till now for sure, but im not sure his stuff translates to that level

He’s a college pitcher.
Could see him going rounds 20-30.

He was drafted coming out of HS in the 17th round by the New York Mets. He’s more polished and his control has improved since then. Only thing that might hurt him was his surgery. But I personally think he’ll go higher than he was previously drafted in 2017. That’s just my opinion though.

His stock will never get higher so for that reason he's probably gone after this year regardless. His impact in MLB likely will be minimum, imo.

I’ll never blame a pitcher for leaving as soon as their stock is maxed out. One pitch and it’s never the same again. Get it while you can.
