What evidence exists here? I won't be surprised if he's guilty, but all I've seen is that police were charging him with NH and people assuming he's guilty.

From a legal perspective I’m worried that it will be tricky to prove negligent homicide.
Wonder if they will try to get him to take a deal that involves pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

He’s toast. A guy in Shreveport just got sentenced to 15 years for basically the same accident. He crossed the center line, made a few cars crash and at least 1 person died because of it.

Do you have a link to this case?

I think if Kyren was a better talent then he'd probably get another shot. Like a first round WR type. He has good size and decent but not great athletcisim and has issues with concentration drops. Assuming the case is exactly how the police reported it (sometimes it's not) then I have a hard time believing he'll play in the NFL.

. I could see a lawyer argue that he didn't realize there was a wreck and that is why he didn't stop. Now, I know, that is some B.S., but isn't most things that lawyers can do is B.S.

Is the lawyer also gonna say that the guy who died didn’t die?

The leaving the scene is a felony but he’s also charged with the death.

Imo he was never a sure fire pro. Just a good college receiver. He’ll regret all the stupid behavior as he punches the clock somewhere…..

You are wrong about the 2 for 1. Negligent homicide is an enumerated offense and the offender serves 85%

Yea but his lawyer is going to argue who was at fault. If the person who swerved was either using their phone, driving at a high rate of speed, following to closely behind the other person it creates doubt in the case against Lacy.

On top of all these things, they need to prove that he was actually driving, he himself wasn’t swerving to prevent an accident.

It’s hard to get a grasp on the case without knowing what evidence the police have.

If he is found guilty, do you think a team will give Kyren a shot after he gets out of prison? If he gets 5 years, he will only spend 2.5 years behind bars. So he won’t be too old. The young man will also be reformed and hardened by the prison system. And he will have plenty of time for exercise to stay in shape. He may just need to petition the warden for a football during his recreation time outdoors and hope there’s a decent QB in the system that can throw to him.

You realize a person is dead because of him, right?

Yeah unless there's actual dash cam footage or a witness who can testify that they, without question, saw Lacy driving, it will be difficult to prosecute as charged.

IMO, he wasn’t as great of a WR as some think. He is, at best, a number 3 receiver in the NFL. This tragic event will derail any NFL career he hoped to have.

I saw some people posting about how Bubby Brister's son was given probation and that if Lacy receives anything more than that it's racist

IIRC the police report said he returned to look at the accident and then left.

This is somehow equally gay and delusional.

NFL chances are zero. Just look at Ruggs as an example.
