I remember Duane Dewey got called up many years ago and never got an at bat.
I think that sucks by the manager to not let him pinch hit at least.

The guy came up, and showed he can be a big leaguer. Good for him. Keep getting better and be ready for spring training to go get a spot.

I read somewhere that 40 minor league teams shut down the past year or so. Why, because college baseball, especially in the SEC is better training ground. So 4 years in college is not out of the realm of possibility, even for stars like Crews, unless they somehow are signalled by MLB teams that they will be on a roster right away. In other words, signing MLB and being in the minors for 3-5 years ain't what it used to be. Good for college baseball.

Maybe he'll be called back up. If you're on the roster for 43 days in a season you qualify for the MLB pension. And IIRC being on the roster for 1 day gets you lifetime medical benefits so he already has that.

Thank you. The Latino influx is the worst thing to happen to MLB. And it’s not just the players. Signed, Angel Hernandez

This is racist garbage. there are so many awesome players who are Latino who play in the big leagues because they’re the best of the best. But you think big league clubs should willingly shrink their talent pool just so you can hear a postgame interview without an interpreter?

my guess as to why he's hanging around in the minors as long as he has is A: trying get out from mum's shadow, and 2: because she's at least partially funding him, minor leaguers make shite for pay

Or because he actually has a shot to get called up…like he did this week.

And in his one at bat he got an RBI. That's very good.
