starting cornerback Jalen Mills will likely move to the third cornerback spot

I find this really hard to believe

Mills has been decent, and I don't know if it want to go into Athens with two true freshman starting at CB

Wouldn't mind seeing more of Eugene, he's been great so far IMO.

lol so Kleinpeter thinks we're gonna start 2 true freshmen CBs because the best cb on the team got beat for the first time this year?

No way mills gets benched

Rashard Robinson must be the truth if he can take a starting spot from a guy that was all-SEC after two weeks on campus.

I think I read somewhere he was holding his own against NFL receivers at Patrick Paterson's camp this summer..

I'm more concerned about the corners in the run game than coverage.

I don't think people understand how small 164 is to be playing at d-1 football especially in SEC that means most receivers have a 25+ 30+ lb strength and weight advantage on you plus you have to tackle 210+ rb's your body would start to break down not to mention getting blocked and ran over.

I thought defensive problems was Welter's fault?
Rantard logic at its finest.

If welter is starting at linebacker against georgia, A$M, and Bama, Lsu's defense will be gashed.

He does not belong on the field with an sec defense. You cant take up for him and if you do it isn't worth arguing.

Im sure the coaches see this and will bet you he isnt starting by mid season.

Secondary has had tackling issues dating back to last year. Disappointing.

If anyone is getting benched for poor tackling then welter should've been the first name mentioned

I more worried about the one particular LB position than I am the defensive backs...

He's missed a shite ton of tackles. It's not a coincidence that our secondary has had that many opportunities to hit RBs

I wouldn't be surprised by this move. Eric Reid covered their back quite a bit last year. It seemed to me like we went into the prevent when Reid was out (Bama and Clemson) which tells me the coaches weren't sold on them. They were young last year but have been exposed a little this year so a move like this wouldn't be a stretch IMO. Besides, if the others guys are better, play them.
