Saints need him more than any other team. good defense and a JD5 offense instead of the bums they presently have could make them a big winner.

Herb is an idiot. He’s THE guy. Not a steal.

I don't know why you'd take him lower than first QB. y'all keep talking like Williams has been a better passer than JD. no. statistically JD is a better passer than Burrow. And if you're a statistically better passer than Burrow you're the best passer in NCAA history. Caleb Williams..... lol .. Statistically he was also a much better rusher than Lamar, Tebow, and Manziel. He's, no shite, the best dual threat QB of all time. And it's not even really close.
I mean you could shove Joe Burrow and Johnny Manziel into the same QB and he wouldn't be better than JD. Statistically.
Taking a shot at #1 wouldn't be the dumbest thing ever.

I hope he’s taken high but I can see how he falls.

He’s thin and takes some big hits. The likelyhood of injury in the NFL is high with bigger, faster defenders

Daniels

Williams has a slightly stronger arm, and obviously has bigger size, but that's about it

Daniels is taller and they're almost the same weight.

I think it depends on his Combine/Pro Day numbers. If JD5 comes out & runs a 4.4? forty at one of these he likely jumps into consideration to be #1.

Id take JD5 over Williams & Maye but the NFL talent guys seem really enamored with Williams & esp Maye. I also believe that Maye will be a better NFL QB than Williams but Caleb Williams has BUST written all over him.

His endzone and fade passes are honestly a thing of beauty for a college QB.

The one hesitancy I'd have with Daniels is his hesitancy. He doesn't throw may interceptions. Which is GREAT. But he also choses to not make throws and just tuck an run probably more often than NFL teams would like. He's not going to be able to run for 150 yards per game in the NFL. And with the game speed faster and the windows tighter his decision making has to be quicker.

He improved significantly in that respect this season. But there were still some times he probably had guys open and he chose to be a bit more hesitant and hold the ball.

Obviously he can escape the pocket. His accuracy, even last year, is very good (he doesn't miss guys very often). His arm strength is good enough. Can he consistently make the split-second decisions a great QB is required to make time and time again in the NFL? The great QBs often know where they are going with the ball before it is snapped or see the windows opening before they actually open. Once they see it they let the ball fly without hesitation.

Add arm strength to this list.

You won't beat many NFL teams on 5 yard stop routes or underthrowing a ball more than 30 yards down field.

I really don't get the love for Drake Maye. Might give you a great game here or there, but I haven't seen much consistency out of him.

NFL teams are like women who date 'bad boys.' They think they can change the guy.

And? Who would you draft first in the NFL, Burrow or Daniels?
