Who said we had to win the national championship this year to be considered successful? It was a long shot of us making the playoff even if we beat Bama

Kansas is not a major P5 school.

And if one truly understood LSUs situation, they would be saying Kelly has done a good job too.

Georgia has only played 2 true road games against top 10 teams in his 8 years. They’re 0-2 in those games and both were beatdowns. 2017 @ Auburn & 2020 @ Bama. They have it on easy street over there.

I mean you could use that argument if they hadn’t just won back to back national championships..

The whole Jontre Kirklin playing QB is the lamest thing this people on this board say as if we had zero quarterbacks on the roster.

Kirby also came and got GA brass to pony up the cash, and has consistently recruited the cream of the crop since taking the job. In order to compete for championships, having top 10 classes alone will not suffice. The undeniable correlation between winning championships and having a #1 class beforehand is evident. Here are Kirby's classes since arriving in Athens. Here’s Kirby’s classes since arriving in GA.

Nuss. But that’s besides the point. Who was valve for that bowl game doesn’t matter. Saying “BK had Jontre Kirklin playing QB when he came here” as if we had zero scholarship quarterbacks on the roster is a dumb fricking argument.

He was “available” if they wanted him to be. They decided it was best for him to not play in a meaningless bowl game because it’s irrelevant and not worth wasting a year of eligibility. Again, who played quarterback in that bowl game is totally irrelevant to Brian Kelly’s first year as head coach.
