Kim Mulkey will realize....

After tonight, she has made progress-but still has a ways to go before the Lady Tigers are ready for the top 5....I hope I have to eat crow!

Um we know this isn’t a top 5 team. A loss tonight wouldn’t change anything. It’s a top 20 team that will be seeded very well for the NCAAT this year. We have over achieved so far.

Not running the Tigers down nor did I say they are overrated...they are playing well and beating teams close to them talent wise...but SC is another level-and upsets do happen. I am hoping for one. Not betting period!!

The program won 9 games all of last year. If they finish the year Top 50 and make the tournament, it's a monumental turn around, much less Top 5

Not in Starkville-haven't been there since school...so you really didn't realize a town with a major university-a fellow SEC member...didn't have internet? Wow...just wow! By the way-I have lived in both places...I'd take Starkville over Baton Rouge any day!

South Carolina might be missing some players tonight but no names yet
They did lose to Mizzou last week and LSU played them close in two games last year
It will be competitive and it's a good measuring stick to see if they can handle it
When it comes to playing with the heavyweights there is little margin for error but under Mulkey she will get maximum effort out of this group and that's a good starting point in year one
Then you go get the #1 player in the state of LA and get it rolling

Most of you are correct-she has done a great job and it's a much better program than a year ago. And yes, she does realize the hand she's dealt. Maybe I should have said some fans will realize and not the coach. So I realize how it looks the way I posted it-and I will eat some crow now for doing it.

Even if LSU wins tonight, they still have a ways to go. It's January. You don't cut down nets in January. I can definitively say that they've made progress already, though, win or lose tonight.

She has even said she knows they aren’t there yet. She said it on a radio interview yesterday.
Doesn’t mean they can’t beat those teams in a one off game. Especially at home.
