The vaccine was never supposed to keep you from getting it 100%. In most cases it does but if you do get it, it helps keep the symptoms to a minimum or asymptotic which I believe these players are.

Being vaccinated doesn't prevent you from being infected, that's not the point of the vaccine. Vaccines are effective IF AND WHEN you come in contact with Covid, and work the same way other vaccines do.
The antibodies neutralize the virus before it can replicate and cause symptoms or serious illness in the person, AND makes that person a very low risk to even transmit the virus because the virus load in the body remains extremely low in a vaccinated person.
So it's ridiculous to use a vaccinated person testing positive as some sort of 'gotcha' to mask your ignorance in refusing to take the vaccine.

The issue isn’t how the vaccine works, the issue is the fact that anyone who doesn’t want to be at-risk of the virus is no longer at-risk of catching the virus, and governing bodies are still canceling shite like baseball tournaments over randomly testing people to bump up case numbers and keeping this charade going over a generally mild virus. This shite is absolutely ridiculous
