LSU in in trouble for institutional loss of control regarding Title IX. Hiring Mulkey solves the problem. Head basketball coach and another title in the athletic department. I guarantee you she's up for it.

You think the media backs off the school and football program because they have a different woman coaching the women's basketball team? If anything some of her comments about Baylor's Title IX issues added some fuel to the fire and wasn't helpful.

So let’s bring in a coach at a school that was killed for Title IX now. While she wasn’t implicated in any of it, she had to know what was happening there in that athletic department

Yes

Which is why she ain't coming to LSU

No income tax in Texas

To overcome income tax and an obvious pay bump, you would have to pay $3MM per year for a coach of a program that loses money each and every season.

Hiring a better women's basketball coach does NOT solve our title IX problems. Especially if Verge and Miriam are still employed.

there's a chance that you have a Title IX sport producing positive revenue taking the pressure off your football program to finance everything.

No, there isn’t.

How many boosters with money you think are focused on fixing women's basketball?

A baw dropped $20mm on the women's golf program. The money's out there.

Sure there is. Let's look at 2016 budget numbers for example. The LSU women's basketball ball team averaged. 400 thousand dollars per season. That's absolutely terrible. The Tennessee Vols averaged 5.6 million. With the right atmosphere LSU certainly can do better. Winning takes care of a lot of problems.

LA state income tax is a straight 4%. So that is in the neighborhood of $90k. Do you know what property tax is in TX? A bud of mine has a $500K home which by today's standard is above average but not really that high... property tax is $20K per year.

There is no free lunch. We pay low income and prop taxes and real high sales taxes. TX pays no income and very high property tax.

Agreeing with his post and know something?

Or just showing appreciation for his input and positivity? Or both?
