Does our defense have the discipline to stop them?

Probably not if we are being honest... Gonna need to force a turnover or two

we will line up and shift 4 of our DL pre snap and draw a flag and give them an automatic first down.

Do we have a QB to do the same for us too? Or he can not move a yard.

don't have the chest to stop them, if I were an opposing coach we'd plan as if we're in four down territory no matter where the ball is

I was considering posting a thread about how 4th downs are going to have a massive impact on this game, given that Kelly is pretty aggressive on 4th as well. Who executes on those plays is going to win. Kentucky beat Ole Miss by staying conservative and dominating the field position / time of possession battle.

And then be shocked the officials threw a flag

Have we stopped a team that went for it on 4th and short this season? I don't think we have...Kiffin should absolutely go for it almost every time if he is smart.

I think LSU D will find 1 or 2 big stops on 4th down. Would be nice to get a few turnovers before they even get to 4th down.

Their website says they are 7-12 (58%) on 4th down this year while opponents are 9-17 (53%).

Ole miss will go 5 for 5 on fourth downs. LSU will go 0 for 2 including a failed attempt on the goal line.

We have been so bad on fourth situations under Kelly

As he should

No team should ever punt against LSU unless they’re inside the 10 or something

They then gained 63 yards on 4th and 7 from their own 20. That won them the game.

I feel better about our defense on 4th and 2 than I do on 3rd and 17.

Ole Miss converted a 3rd and 19 on a 29 yard draw play in '21, which every coach in America, outside of Ed Orgeron, could see coming.
