It’s not what you think or feel about their (Bama’s) loss to LSU in 2019. It how THEY viewed, felt about it! And believe me when I tell you that in 2019 ~ Burrow et al in Humbled them deep!

It helps to know, understand the typical Alabama fan to see how/why they were devastated/crushed. I’ve been surrounded by Bama fans for decades….and I KNOW them! They are nice, civil, good people. Somewhat flat, Melba Toast personalities. Boring compared to LSU fans. But I like and get along with all of them.

After countless hours of close contact with them, I have come to accurately know how/what they think/feel regarding their football team, program. And let me say this, they do know football and are quite astute @ analyzing it.

For me, their are a few words which describe/explain how Alabama fans “think & feel” about their program vs ALL other teams/schools in the NCAA:

Uniquely, Especially ~ Entitled

They don’t just “feel or think” they’re entitled, they deep down into their DNA Know (believe) they are! They don’t consider or compare Alabama football prowess with any other teams. And they will only rarely even talk with other fans about football, past or upcoming games; very little is said about their own team or yours, others, etc. Bama is “select + separate”! Everyone else is an “outsider”.

Besides, there attitude is that there is nothing to really discus with other fans, or about other teams, schedules, games, etc. Other team’s fans have nothing in common with them. Now they will & do talk amongst their own Fanbase, but it is almost always done privately & exclusively….out of earshot of other fans or alumni.

But there is an even a better verse or phrase from the Bible that I tell them & others that perfectly summarizes Alabama Fans:

“They are like the Jews….they are God’s chosen team”!
