I’m thinking they won’t announce this until next Monday, but do y’all think CBS will pick this up as their prime time night game start?

Or do you think 2:30pm?

Yes. I guess it's possible they could pick Georgia/Missouri instead if both LSU & Bama lose this weekend, but I think LSU/Bama will still be the primetime selection regardless.

Unless they think Mizzou UGA draws a larger crowd, we're the number one game of the week

And I SWEAR there is a clause somewhere that requires LSU Bama to be at night

Nope.

It started at night in 2011 til about 2016 when we were decent and Bama's only real game. Les of course fricked that away and O did as well which led 2019 to be a day game cuz CBS got tired of constant Bama blowouts during their only allowable primetime slot every year. Hence we played them at 2:30PM in 2019 since CBS thought more of the same was coming in 2019.

I think there’s a decent chance College Gameday will be there too. Unless they choose USC vs Washington that week.

The reason I’m asking is because I won’t need the hotel room for Friday night if it’s a Saturday night game.

That’ll be the first time they’ve done a Gameday with both teams at a combined 3 losses.

Usually both teams are undefeated or at worst, one team has only one loss.

Nov 4 is the SEC double header for CBS. Could be 2:30 or 7pm

This is no doubt a 7 p.m. game.

I would say with how the game went last year, they would put it at 7. But I would not be surprised if they put Georgia Mizzou in that spot.

Options (if everyone wins next 2 weeks):

LSU (6-2) @ Bama (7-1)
Mizzou (7-1) @ UGA (8-0)
A&M (5-3) @ Ole Miss (7-1)

LSU Schedule
vs Army
Bye

Bama Schedule
vs Tennessee
Bye

Mizzou Schedule
vs USCe
Bye

UGA Schedule
Bye
Neutral Site vs Florida

A&M Schedule
Bye
vs USCe

Ole Miss Schedule
@ Auburn
vs Vandy

A lot can happen in next 2 weeks, but I still think LSU @ Bama is the likely choice but Mizzou @ UGA is interesting and Jimbo fighting for his life at potential Top 10 Ole Miss is also interesting.

CBS already has two possible games scheduled that day. That was the same weekend for their 7pm prime time once a year game.

CBS picked that weekend as a double-header for one reason, and one reason only. LSU v. Alabama. The 2022 game was the most watched regular season game on cable six years (until Colorado v. Colorado St. blew that away this season)

LSU and Alabama are two national "brands" who even the casual college football fan will tune in to watch. It doesn't matter AT ALL if Missouri only has one loss entering their game against Georgia. LSU v. Alabama will be the night game. No one nationally cares about Missouri football..including many people in Missouri.

There is zero mystery with the start time in this one. It's at 7:00 pm
