People were chirping about how Donte sucked from the 1st drive against BYU because he gave up a slant for a 10 yard gain
Yep, the rant is most clueless about CBs. They shite all over Tre White too.
You could have numbers like this.
KT- 8 passes thrown his way. 6 passes defended. 2 catches on him.
DJ- 10 passes thrown his way. 7 defended. 3 catches on him.
Greedy- 10 passes thrown his way. 8 passes caught on him. 1 interception.
People would be throwing a damn fit about DJ and KT, and telling you how great Greedy is.
(Im not in any way trying to knock Greedy with this post. Just throwing out a hypothetical. I think all 3 have been damn good all season.)

It's really selfish for these players to leave early when they made a 4 year commitment to the program
It is really selfish of YOU to expect a kid to turn down the chance to be a millionaire, and instead play for nothing and risk injury, just so you can watch LSU maybe win a game or two more because of them.

Donte was being targeted by A&M and Arky deep b/c of his weakness in coverage/ ball skills. It was embarrassing at times.

45-21 and 33-10 say he won most of those battles.
16/33 176 0 TDs 1 INT versus Arkansas
16/30 227 2 TDs 3 INT versus aTm
Those look like numbers of a secondary that got burnt.

Arkansas' leading receivers in the game were their TEs. Their leading WR had 1 catch for 25 yards. Their entire WR corps combined for 70 yds. Embarrassing indeed.

Kirk beat him once for a long gain
Unacceptable. Someone caught a long pass on him.
It means he sucks as a DB, will not be drafted, and needs to come back so posters can shite all over him next season too when someone catches another pass on him.

So, you think Donte is a first rounder, too?
Let’s wait and see...

Both guys would go in the first 45 picks. Nuff said

When did I say he was a first rounder? They will both be drafted high enough where leaving is an option though.
And both have been very solid CBs for LSU this season.

Donte will absolutely murder the combine. I'd be shocked if he came back

We will see how they perform against Notre Dame.

Both Jackson and KT2 are freak athletes.
jackson, maybe, but he's not that good at DB. he's good at tackling but still needs a lot of work in coverage
he does not have the tape of a guy even like Adore Jackson, who was also more athlete than DB (but did a lot more in his career)
define "freak athlete" status for KT2. he's had even more issues than DJ and i don't think he's anywhere near a "freak" athlete
for another recent comparison, Kevin King went in the early 2nd, but he ran a 4.42 and had a MUCH more accomplished career than KT2

Jackson is good at tackling?

back when these guys were recruited, our sales pitch was a 3 year plan so you're 100% wrong with this comment

Jackson is going to have to get a lot better at covering or they will eat his lunch in the pro"s!

They both will be on the field in the NFL next year.
