Kevin Pauga Index (KPI), A NCAA Selection Committee Favorite!!!
Although the new favorite poll they are going to love is this NET thing, the KPI is a stud that they also admire when reviewing resumes for seedings.

The KPI ranking system was built to determine how difficult a team's record was to achieve using things like SOS.

They now have LSU 7th and a possible No.2 Seed in the NCAA Tournament. Before they updated it after last week's games, they had LSU as a 7th seed.

Good news. I’m skeptical that this has any basis in reality, but good news.

This is a very bad ranking system, I wouldn’t put much stock in it.

I like the MPI metric better (Magnum PI). After some investigative work, the ranking system has LSU ranked even higher than the KPI and RPI. I sure hope the committee favors the metrics that make our team look good!

The TDI (Tiger Droppings Index) has LSU as the best team in the country. I hope the committee considers the TDI when putting the bracket together.

The committee does. They favor 3 systems and this is one of them.

Just as a confirmation to what I am saying...

The team sheets will continue to officially include, as reference, metrics such as KenPom, Sagarain, KPI and Strength of Record. But important to note that those metrics, while on the team sheets, do not factor into the NET.

Something is off in their formula. We are not a 2, and Gonzaga is not a 3. Gonzaga will be a 1 seed, I think we will get a 4 or 5, barring a complete collapse. Play Kentucky and Tennessee tight, and we will be fine.
