Smaller.....hill?

You're kidding right? Eric was a fricking train.

I do think Minter is the better backer though.

I say Bradie but if he keeps it up, twenty years from now he'll be the guy you are comparing the youngsters to

I said potential of being drafted high in the NFL, I guess I should have clarified that. I didn't mean he was another Eric Hill, they are different animals.

Michael Brooks. And Minter will be surpassed by Debo Jones.

Guys like Brooks and Dubroc were a different style of backer: not as nimble, but much more powerful.

brooks was nimble, all right. In fact, Brooks was every positive adjective! He was explosive; no tackle could handle him. In the pros he was less nimble and explosive, but that was after he tore his knee up and was never the same.

In the 3-4, the backers tend to be bigger, nastier, and since there are four of them, they don't have to be as nimble.

Eh. The last half of that is wrong. You must have nimble OLB that can act as a hybrid DE (see Demarcus ware, clay matthews). The ILB have to be big and nasty (Brian Urlacher, Ray Lewis)

Minter is above Sheppard and Bradie James at this stage in his LSU career. If he continues his level of production he is a certain No# 1 choice in the NFL. He will be a Pro Bowl caliber player in the NFL if he continues his meteoric rise. Although he is smaller, his potential going into the NFl reminds me of former Tiger Eric Hill!

Eric "Blade" Hill was a tank, B. James could run down from behind. If KM is anywhere near either, he will be quite special.
