Would it be Kelvin Sheppard? Both were extremely productive guys but not flashy..Minter is EXTRA productive and even LESS flashy, IMO..He is just all over the football field..Is he a Junior?
stud..shocker that we don't have more big name Linebackers donning the purple and gold

kelvin sheppard...perhaps bradie james/trev faulk

I think Minter is a step above Sheppard at this point. Sheppard was always productive but not on the level Minter has reach in recent weeks.

Just my opinion, but Minter is a lot better! He takes better angles and produces more tackles and always seems to put himself in position to make plays... Good coaching and/or instincts probably has some contribution to his success as well.
Nothing to take away from Sheppard. He was a great player for us.

Ive definitely noticed this..and he has great closing speed..can get from one side of the field to the other QUICK

If he keeps it up, the answer is ever.

The production that Jon Chavis pulls out of his linebackers, consistently, is ridiculous. An all time great linebacker coach on top of the remarkable things he does as a coordinator.

Kelvin was an extension of Chavis when getting his defense lined up on the field. I'm not sure Minter is there in that aspect yet, but overall Minter is well on his way to being a special player.

Darry Beckwith wasn't bad...

I think hes better then Sheppard. I'd say have to say since Bradie James

Dude set 2 lofty school records against Florida. You can make the argument he IS the best right now.

You haven't been watching LSU very long have you? Best ever! Not close. But he is a good one.
