Floyd has hit more batters (10) than Skenes has walked all year (9). That’s not good. We’ve got to be better

So, when Neal gets back to full speed, he’s in over Milazzo?

Sure, Milazzo was hitting 11-27 entering this weekend, but he was only 1-7 against SEC pitching this season prior to the weekend. He’s now 2-13.

His BA was/is inflated vs mid-week pitching.

I wouldn't expect to drop out of the 1 slot with going 2/3 ... I felt like Kentucky may be sticky coming into the series anyway. Tonight's loss stung extra because the manner of the way we lost. To win every series is a good expectation and with this team to perhaps pick up a sweep with the btm end of our schedule before we got banged up...it's baseball so... hopefully we can get into better health and form before tournament time and tomorrow, we'll..pull for the good guys and see what happens..we lost a leader in Dugas seemingly for the weekend and alongside pitching growth curves, lineup amendments coincided unexpectedly. I do think it will get right. I don't even know about the weather tomorrow but I'm not betting against them.

LSU doesn’t run at all so that isn’t really a knock against him that he has no steals.

And double plays are not always indicative of speed. But good runners beat out 50/50 DP’s and that is Morgan. He’s a 55 runner with good instincts, and that plays. He had been 60 in the past but yea I think he’s lost a bit of juice with the weight gain

Tonight’s game ender was not a routine 4-6-3. A fast runner beats that out. Tre has lost a couple of steps since his freshman year.

That was a tailor made double play. Hard hit right at 2B, didn’t have to move. Morgan made it close because he runs pretty well & is coming from the lh box

He moved two steps to first base to field it. That’s two steps AWAY from second base.

The knee injury last year was the turning point.

Despite the injuries, it would be pretty Fkn cool if some pitchers (not named Skenes) could step up, stop hitting and walking so many damn batters

And despite this Floyd battled and nearly gave us 5 innings with only 2 earned runs. His line ended with 3 earned runs but that shouldn't have been the case. He should have had 4 2/3 with only 2 earned runs and honestly that is more than enough considering the struggles he ran into. Defense has been poor since the South Carolina series. They need to improve and yes the pitching staff needs to cut down on the free bases as well. FWIW Money was a pleasant surprise out of the bullpen.

Let's get the rubber match tomorrow

That term is often stated incorrectly.
The term match does not, in any way, apply to baseball.
The proper term is Rubber GAME.

A Rubber (from the game of bridge) is a three GAME or hand series. When the GAMES or hands are tied at 1-1 the GAME or hand that will determine the series is the rubber GAME or hand.

Since LSU and Kentucky will play a baseball GAME to decide the series, they will play the Rubber GAME.

Why are you so opposed to learning how to use a phrase properly?

My rubber game has been lacking; hence, the six kids.
