With all the depth at RB, do you think LSU redshirts him. Is anyone hearing anything on him in spring practice?

No doubt ... but then again, I though Blue would too.

Probably will redshirt--but it is still great that he is already on campus & participating in spring workouts.

I think he should. With his physical style of running, even in high school, it would do his body good to have a to rest, heal and get in better shape. That is of course barring injury to our other running backs.

IMO Ware, Ford, Gore, Blue and McGee can carry the load to let Hilliard redshirt.

It would be nice to have another year between him and Ware/Ford. I think Hilliard can be a guy who carries the load for 2 years after Ware/Ford leave.

I say no. He is here early and will contribute. McGee might though, and that would make more sense to me.

Every time I look at LSUs RBs im amazed at the depth. 5-6 guys deep that have legitimate talent.

Hopefully. His frame could handle another 20 lbs of Moffit muscle.

JMO, but I think Terrance Magee will jump him if he doesn't go MLB.

Hilliard has stated that he is not interested in playing LB. FWIW

Hilliard may redshirt but will not play LB. He is a running back plain and simple. I would like to see him redshirt and be the primary back when his time comes.

i think Hilliard and Magee will both redshirt next season. There is just too much depth at RB for them to make a big impact as freshmen.

Y'all missunderstood. Terrance Magee is an elite Major League Baseball prospect and will likely have to turn down 6 figures if we is going to play in Purple and Gold. I was saying that assuming Magee doesn't decide to go the pro baseball route, I think he will develop more quickly than Hilliard, in part because of baseball prospects are more likely to only be around for 3 years.

Are you serious? He probably needs to slim down if anything.

no. Who was the freshman that was fifth on the chart that won MVP in the SEC championship game?

Are you talking about Justin Vincent? I don't think he was fifth. He was behind Joseph Addai and Shyron Carey.

It's gonna be badass when it is his time though.
