Kelvin and Perry Riley both came out of Stone Mountain Georgia(I think) and there was a lot of worry because both were 3-stars(I think). Both have been great examples in their dedication and contribution to the program(true tigers). I commend Kelvin, Patrick Peterson and S Ridley for the way that they represented themselves(very well)on the Alabama pregame..........."GO Tigers"

not as good as Bradie James. better than Trev Faulk.

Faulk was better than James at LSU. He was an NFL bust.

Not sure KShep makes All-American this year, but below is a list of LBs that were AA while at LSU. I'd rank him right behind these guys in the next tier. One of the best team leaders to ever play for the Tigers though.

All-American LBs
George Bevan('69)
Mike Anderson('70)
Warren Capone('72,'73)
Al Richardson('82)
Michael Brooks('85)
Bradie James('02)

Not Far Behind
A.J. Duhe
Eric Hill
Ron Sancho
Trev Faulk
Kelvin Sheppard

When you go back and look at the rosters, there have been some impressive linebackers to suit up for the Tigers that I didn't even list above, especially in the '80s. Toby Caston, Nicky Hazard, Verge Ausberry...

I don't agree but to each his own. Trev was more popular in
mind bc he was South La and more of a power guy

Let me see, who would be ahead of Kelvin.

Eric Hill for starters. Michael Brooks. Best LSU LB I've ever seen. Faulk. James. Toby Caston. Ron Sancho. George Bevan. Melancon. Capone. Lyman White. Highsmith. Crassus was right. I seriously doubt Sheppard could even start for some of the 80's teams as a LB.
