Kelly appears all smiles, appearing without a worry in the world; either he’s excited about Nuss starting. Or it’s because he’s got the DC he wanted coming to LSU.

This isn't Nuss's first rodeo. He'll be fine as our QB for 2024.

It's good having a quality QB for the bowl game. I bet Ohio State wished they had waited till after the Cotton Bowl to run their season long starting QB off.

Nuss has been working for 2 years with the guy that just developed the Heisman winner.

CBK may be looking at the next Heisman contender

I hope Nuss does well next year but let’s at least try to be objective

This is what most people said about JD before this year. That’s why it’s “subjective”…not “objective”.

Nuss WILL be in New York at the end of next season. He will probably get drafted number 1.

He was this way before LSU shite the bed vs FSU too. Lets not read too much into this.

Nuss is going to have growing pains as a first time starter this game and next season. The sooner people realize this, the less they are going to be disappointed when he struggles. He's going to have 1st season struggles just like JD and Burrow did.

Slow down. Will Campbell will be going #1.

I don’t know whether Nuss will be the next great but I don’t think he will have the growing pains some suggest here. He is diffrent and will look great most of the time because he has an offensive line that I believe will protect him. That aspect of the offense is more important than it has been with JD or Burrow. As it’s not likely that Nuss will want to leave the pocket much. But Nuss can throw with accuracy and quick release just as well. His receivers will love him and will try to refine their routes as their will not be as much ad lib or winging it on his own. Establishing a running game will be an absolute must to keep defenses honest. I’m looking forward to seeing our new car against Wisconsin.

Leap to conclusions much?

Maybe he just learned that LSU accidentally overpaid him another million again.

Maybe he’s got a coed underneath the table putting that smile on his face.

Maybe he has no idea who his next DC is, but he just learned that Saban has hired away House to be Bama’s next DC.

Maybe JD has changed his mind and will play in the bowl game after all with Denbrock calling the plays via Zoom.

Maybe he’s just a happy guy.

Agree. There is no substitute for experience. Through three starts in 2018, Joe had completed less than 50% of his passes.

Let’s hope Nuss doesn’t go down hurt early and we see what our depth looks like.

How many fans, including me, were objective about Daniels, one year ago?

Nuss is going to destroy Wisconsin and Kelly knows it. He can make all the throws and he will do it with freshman WRs once Nabers and Thomas call it a day. RBs will be heavily involved too I expect them to have over 150 yards rushing.

There was a lot of debate about the Nuss Bus vs the JD train. If a lot of people wanted to bench the Heisman winner for Nuss, that just shows you how great our future is. #HeismanHouse
